It’s back. Praise the lord baby Jeebus it’s finally back!

Starting tomorrow, Thursday June 2nd, and running through Sunday June 5th, the bi-annual Sportcard and Memorabilia Expo makes its highly anticipated in-person return!

Last held in-person with the Fall edition of 2019, this highlight of my collecting year is back live and kicking following some highly successful, yet lacking in the spark of an on-site experience, virtual editions to hold us over. This event was always such a fun time for my kids and I when we lived in Toronto, and was something we never missed. Lots of swag, ability to find those missing pieces to ones collection, window shop the hobby museum/offerings filling the huge conference hall, and chat and learn with other collectors. Always a great time!

The highlights of my visits were always two-fold. First, the Expo dates most often overlapped with the release dates for Upper Deck Series One and Two. This meant heading to the Upper Deck booth with a freshly purchased box, breaking it onsite and swapping wrappers for a sweet bonus card (oftentimes a short printed and hard signed Expo specific offering to show off in the collection). Nice little addition to the whole experience! Second: the in-person signings. The Expo has always been a place where you could access some of the bigger names in hockey, baseball and wrestling under one roof over a three day stretch. This edition appears no different as a "who’s who" of the hockey world hit the floor at the International Centre ready to sign away and snap photos with those lucky enough to attend. Among the notable players attending are:

Curtis Joseph
Al Iafrate
Jaromir Jagr
Frank Mahovlich
Bobby Hull
Doug Gilmour
Bob Gainey
Kevin Stevens
Bernie Parent
Mark Recchi
Billy Smith

For Jays fans, Teoscar Hernandez, Duane Ward and Ernie Whitt will also be appearing across the show for a little variety as well.

For the full schedule and other details, jump on over HERE for the rundown. For those attending: Have a great time!

Positive vibes and love to you and yours my friends. Let’s all take care of each other, ok?
