Coaches aren't actually apart of a tank are they? I thought they always did their best and its the GM who does any kind of tank. Coaches just know if their team is good or not.

I don't think you're here to talk hockey if you're suggesting either the playoffs or a top 5 pick.

I guess I should clarify my point. That i would bet tocchet wasn't trying to tank when hired. Especially once they traded for Hronek and decided to "retool" and not rebuild.

Ah so playoffs or middling pick next year answers my questions from earlier then. Well, wild card is likely within reach and 3rd in the division might be but I think it'll be a dog fight.

The amount of time the leafs live in other fans heads rent free is amazing. I could buy up the GTA real estate with those kind of savings.

Usually it's the GM's that manipulate rosters but a good example of a coach that was 'in on it' was the coach of the Leafs when they tanked for Matthews.
