Somebody should inform Tocchet that playing more than 6 guys a night would be helpful to the teams future.

Lose now to win later can still happen in a re-tool.

15 games left, time to start resting some of these starters to see what the reserves are able to do

Yeah, running the stars into the ground in a lost season is ridiculous.

@NYN also

I don't mind the forwards playing their regular 20-16-14-10 minutes in their roles but playing Hughes 25 plus per night at this point is pretty ridiculous.

The goal is to find and create/develop more defenders. That would be allowing them to play in all situations, winning, losing, in the first and the third periods. Especially in a lost season.

Been looking at it and if you don't get rid of Myers at the start of the season, I don't see any cap room for Bear unless Poolman's career is over. I still think he should have been dealt at the TDL for a return. Especially now that Hronek is here.

I think they move a winger to make room. Poolman likely LTIR. It seems they go with Bear Hronek and Myers for right side next season.

Team feels as if they are getting back to being individuals. They got out played by a bunch of AHLers.

Back to one of the problems that has dogged this team again and again, they want to win just not do what it takes to win.

If Bear gets a raise, that puts the team with the most expensive D in the league if OEL isn't traded or bought out.

I think there's gonna be a good amount of movement in the off season. Boeser gone. OEL pushed down some stairs. Someone bought out. Myers traded.

Hughes - Hronek
UFA/trade - Bear
Juulsen/Brise/Burroughs/Schenn

Ryan Graves a candidate for the left spot?

Myers is just a train wreck, he badly needs to simplify his game. I hope they get rid of him.

Banking on Shenn to return is a long shot now. There’s talk OEL might return before end of season with Hronek to see what they have.

I would like change but they have little to work with to do it.

Graves would be good, less good might be Dumoulin. Cap in and out for Marcus Pettersson.

With what's available in free agency, Bear isn't a top option for me. I think if Bear is in your top 4, it's still pretty weak.

I'd say Juulsen has taken Burroughs spot.

It’s a sad situation. OEL getting traded seems impossible at this point. Bought out is possible. LTIR retire a stretch still.

There's honestly not a lot available in FA... and I think Bear would come cheaper than pursuing a new player that's of the same mold. I think him coming back into a more structured system will be beneficial for him. Bear at number 4 is fine, much better than what they've had the last few seasons.

Not banking on him, he's in the carousel of 3rd line potentials. If he comes back, fine... if management wants to have a faster/better transitioning back end, I can see them not bringing him back. Whatever.

Unless they're taking massive swings on trades and selling every prospect/pick they have, there's no chance this D could make it into the top 10. They'd literally have to remake the entire thing outside of Hughes and Hronek in one offseason.

They don't have to be a top 10 team on D to make the playoffs. They're #11 on offense in the league, so an average team on D will get them there (plus Bubblé Dem)

After this one game it feels like they are playing as individuals? You don’t watch the games. If you want talk about your shameful journey to 200 or which sweets you will stuff your fat face with this weekend people would surely listen. Stay in your lane.

You are the guy that makes wild assessments after a single game. Not me.

I'd say you should watch the games but it really wouldn't matter If you do or not because you don't really have a clue.

Cool sky is falling moment. It's hilarious that you were okay with getting 1 player to make the defence better but getting a 2nd player better than Bear is DOING THE IMPOSSIBLE.
