Yo have to have the brains and the stones to make the big move.
Yzerman has the brains but no stones. Same with Carolina GM
Benning had the stones but they were in his head.
GM’s like Pierre Lacroixe, Sakic, Burke had/have both!

Canes are very well built but the Achilles heal is scoring in the PO’s. Prove me wrong is their challenge.

Did you watch the hit? He's definitely injured... he was crushed, seeing birds and bleeding from the head. Massive hit.... and head was definitely hit.

Hronek makes plays like that, all the time, which is why Yzerman was more than happy to take what he got for him. Another bad habit of Hronek is his tendency to pass the puck to players in a bad position(sucker passes).

I am sure he will be adored in Canuckville because he puts up points, but is a bottom pairing guy on a decent team.

No I did not. I know almost nothing about him. I was going off of what PA said at his press meeting on Friday.

That was your first mistake.

Thx never saw that before.

Reavers isn’t tough that was clear cut head hunting at it’s finest.
Suspension?

That was a classic case of a player not being aware of who is on the ice and piss-poor awareness period. If you don't like physical contact, watch figureskating.

That was brutal. I hope he doesn't have issues with awareness especially with players like Reaves on the ice.

I hearya but he was looking around but doesn’t justify that predatorial hit. If that were Torres he’d be gone for quite awhile.

Is he gonna do what it takes to take the next step though? He didn't in TB.
- manvanfan

You keep saying that but the last year he was with the team they won the President's trophy and tied a league record with 62 wins. They lost their Norris trophy Dman and got swept in the first round.

The following 2 seasons they won the cup. Make no mistake about it, that team was largely built by Yzerman.

Of course... that's why I said "players like Reaves on the ice".
- boonerbuck

Are you saying Reaves should have crouched down so he didn't hit him squarely. That was just a poor play by Hronek, get used of it.

Ppl are sheeple…

I’m all about fans having their own view & opinion & not joining the gang bangers. Piling on is a pathetic way to act. Parroting the media only validates the media & the bs they purvey. The fans & media have deserved each other for so long it goes way back to almost the WHL days.

Idc if fans are right or wrong as long as it’s fresh & their own view.

- Nighthawk

I suppose you are the one that determines if someone has their own opinion, or if it is media driven.

Sad fact: the Rangers starts their rebuild right go around the same time as us. On team stockpiled picks and prospects, the other…

A rebuild is when you were once great or good. It gets blown up & called scorched earth. Retool is more the better term where rebuild is out of place & not concise.

Arizona cannot rebuild cuz there was never anything built. They can hoard picks all they like but til they put it all together & turn it into something worth admiring it’s all semantics. They are & always will be a destination for cheap tickets for fans of the other team. 😂😂🤪

Aah cherry picking again?

It’s a direct reference to what got punished harshly then but not nowadays.

Was it a predatory hit or not?

It was as predatory as Myers and Joshua hits last night.

Actually any hit is predatory, as they are always involving prey, the person with the puck, and a predator, the person without the puck.

If fans don't want to see that stuff, even figure skating might be to rough for them, may I suggest badminton instead.

2014-2015 SCF loss
2015-16 Conference final loss
2016-17 DNQ (Stamkos played 17 games)
2017-18 Conference final loss
2018-2019 mentioned above
2019-2020 Cup winner
2020-2021 Cup winner
2021-2022 SCF loss

In comparison, the Canucks have been to the conference final 4 times in their history?

In other words, there's no comparison.
