Greetings. I post these daily in the Sabres thread and occasionally share them when it is interesting to another team.

On March 9, 1973 Tim Horton scored his last NHL goal. It was in a 5 - 2 loss to the Vancouver Canucks. 50 years ago. Now, he's the most famous coffee man since Juan Valdez.

Yager and Dragicevic are on my list after Reinbacher and Smith. Dragicevic looks like he will be a legit top 4 and sooner rather than later.

As much as I want D & we need D I get nervous projecting D in this draft. Generally not a fan of D in the 1st til later. The few elite D that came around of late have been stellar.

Who do you like in that range?

Pretty sure I posted several links to several players.

I liked the Boston Kincade that you had yesterday

I know it passes people off that a Canucks fan actually also likes the Bruins, but to effen bad.

There are some nice pieces in that range, so it can only be a bad pick if they take Gulyayev or Pellika.

Many of the he best D in the league are all top 10 picks. Dahlin, Makar, Hughes, Heiskenan, Hedman. Power is starting to already be in that conversation. Seider is as well. Seider is a perfect example of why trading down is risky. Most of us thought he would be there at 10 and were wanting to draft him there. Drafting is a crap shoot, and even forwards bust. I'd say Reinbacher in the top 10, Dragicevic if we fall just outside are great targets for those draft spots.

You and I tend not to agree that often, but I agree 100% with this.

Other than Hughes, of course.

Ya, I had some hopes for him. 1 of the few draft picks that I guessed right for the Canucks.

By evidence of Brisebois, got to keep these guys around until they are like 25 years old.

I saw those but seek your input on the why for each. I’ve read those & others many a time. Basically put your own scout report on them & in order. Ty in advance

True but no D in this draft of are of that pedigree. Safer to pick last 1/2 of the 1st & not reach. 2nd has many to choose from.

Oops forgot we have no picks in those areas. Go get us some PA 😂

In the decades that I have followed the draft, I have never gone past #4 in ranking, I have lumped groups of players together after that.

I have Bedard, clearly as #1, Fantilli clearly as #2, Carlson clearly as #3 & Reinbacher as #4.

I get it some here like scouting & projecting prospects in the draft. Others not so much. All I’m saying is what is the big deal not more ppl engage? It’s all in fun & nobody wins or loses anything. It’s fine to speak of needs & wants but around the fringes isn’t getting more of consensus of who we like as a group in here. Maybe a prospect will be more popular than others or a big scattering of opinions.

I think we’ll pick a C. The amount out there seems highly probable we go that route & for need. I’ll gag if it’s a winger. If a D well that’ll shock me a bit & I’d need to soak it in for a bit. There is a small to nil chance we trade at the draft table but purely a guess. Really cannot peg PA on what he will do but surprises me most of the time. So much to happen or not on trades leading up to draft day.

Fair enough thx.

I have tiers as well. I usually single out a player or sometimes 2-3. This draft there is 3-4 C’s that I can live with. Reinbacher 4oa would floor me being there is so many very good F’s at the top of this draft. Been wrong before aka Seidel. Kudos to Vantel who spoke out on him the most.
