An NHL team with an abysmal record in the last decade who did not draft this guy will need to bend for a goalie who is considered one of the best to play his position in college hockey of all time. This is misrepresenting what Elliott thinks he knows about the situation. Regardless of the Sabres intentions, if the Sabres told him they want him to play games to end the season, then some information (true or false) slips out and says they're looking for yet another goalie, I don't blame Levi's camp for asking why the Sabres are mixing signals.

This isn't about "feelings". This is about opportunity and what both sides want for the rest of the year.

We know how quiet Kevo's office is. Things simply don't get out. So I have my doubts about how much these insiders know when it comes to who the Sabres want to add in trade or ufa. But they very well could have been irritated at a false report that makes them look two-faced.

From Dregers comments a few minutes ago sounds like Levi is 100% signing just not sure AHL or NHL. His comments were very comforting and he said "based on the conversations the last 30-40 minutes" that he expects it to be done in the next few days.

This won't upset anybody.

I'm not sure if the Sabres should have done this, for that player at that price of upcoming contract.

I am absolutely willing to use this year's 1st round pick which is in all likelihood late lottery. I just think over the summer there may be a guy who could better serve this team at the price.
