They need another top 4 D, because it's obvious that Samuelsson cannot stay healthy.

They need to not rush Levi, and let him play in the minors for maybe a year, but definitely as long as it takes.

They need a goalie who can make some big saves.

You honestly believe KA made a move he didn't believe in for his coach? or is that just your way to rationalize it?

He has major faults for sure, especially his in-game coaching tactics...again a major fault so no one misconstrues my point. He needs to round that portion of his talents ... can he do it? I have serious questions myself.

He is a fantastic developer of young talent which this team sorely needed, and he has certain flaws including his current system which is devoid of D. He has stated that "flaw" is by design as it is Offensively focused at the expensive of defense to build the young guys confidence in their offensive talents. The next phase is to build out the Defensive side of their game.
Those are his words, not mine.

I am certainly willing to give him the chance next season to take the team to the next level.
If he isn't capable, time to move along IMO. The Sabres however are likely to give him at least 2.

I saw that in the beginning of the season. As the season progressed and the team development was ahead of schedule I thought he might adapt his plan a bit. But obviously I was wrong.

Just how many years are you going to hope for draft picks? For Gods sake it's now been 12 frigging years...... This team is no better than 10 years ago with the exception they can score a lot of goals when the games aren't meaningful...

I agree with this to a point. But you can't keep trying for that or your other Star players see it. Not trying to read to much into it, but Dahlin has looked pretty frustrated at times.

He has to watch out cause he is leaving a lot of decisions for down the road. He gets another draft to fill the caufer. But that's not the only thing to building a team, he needs to cut some fat and soon.
