Team needs a spark plug, lots of high end talent but soft, been the design of all Adams lead rosters.

My take from what Cozens said, he got too caught up in making the playoffs, tells me this team has no swagger.

Unbelievable talent but no balls. They need a wrecking ball that oozes passion earning his paycheck in the rough stuff.

I don’t believe Adams and co know how to analyze and acquire such player, the organizations Achilles heel

I think they should be aiming for a really solid Islanders of three years ago type of 4th line. Just three guys with a modicum of skill who are going to go 100MPH every shift and will make a play or two every game.

I don’t want the 4th line to be a constant shuffle

- sbroads24

Yeah, fine.

Tough to visualize how they're going to handle it. You've got three kids fighting for spots in the top 12 in Rousek Kulich and Savoie. Johnson fighting on defense. There's two vet captains and the org highly values them. Kyle is clearly slowing down but I haven't the slightest idea what his future holds. Same with ZG.

They'll keep Jost. They like Greenway. They'd trade Olofsson if they were smart. So, maybe you're looking at 1-2 adds, at least 1 being the 4th line. Pius Suter would be a neat add here.

This doesn't make sense to me.

Second thing, if they can get Tom Wilson, that'd be a massive W. I can't really think of anyone else in that mold who's remotely available. The Tkachuks clearly aren't. Gudas? I'm just thinking offense right now. But Gudas would be a great add. Acciari, another great 4th line option. Lawson Crouse? Brandon Tanev?

Maybe Weeger is made available. I'd fill my shorts.

Dont think this is locked in yet at all.

Wouldn’t surprise me to see him be the healthy scratch when Greenway is back

Love Krebs in the role he’s in currently

Don’t understand why people are pining for him to move up to Thompson’s spot every time he misses a game or gets hurt

Rousek didn't look out of place at all last night. I like that he stood in the paint at times too. I know it's only 1 game but he looks like he'd be good on the 4th line with Jost and Greenway as others have stated.

I'd bet a lot on it. Casey sucks as a center and the org knows it. Their depth at center sucks too.

Don gave Jost a vote of confidence when he was scratched for Greenway.

I think Tom Wilson is who they were after when they eventually settled for Greenway. This is based on nothing but a hunch.

Same. He was a little more timid than during his time in Rochester, to be completely expected. I only say that because he's more of a game breaker down there and he needs more time to adjust. But his game style carries over really well.

potential

people probably want to see that

his even strength production is up about 25-30 percent and his overall 2 way game is much better than last season

He can match Jost in being a dog along the boards. So looking forward to Nadeau. Rousek Jost Nadeau could really be a very interesting 4th line IMO

I mean we're probably 2 years away from Nadeau competing for this roster. But you know I love the player too.

I mean that’s cool and all but it will be telling who sits Friday.

Wouldn’t surprise me one bit if they don’t qualify him and let him see what he can get on the open market.

I agree, it gives them a chance to see how Greenway responds. It just goes with what I have been thinking. Sabres have so much Forward talent that in 2yrs they won't be running a traditional 4th. If you want these kids to play most will be starting in your Bottom 6

His QO is 2.25 mil I believe

That’s Girgensons money. Girgensons has never been a healthy scratch.

I think it depends on a few variables.

Are they bringing 28 back is a big one

Thinking Greenway is back? Coming off shoulder surgery and dealing with an 'upper body' makes me wonder if this isn't more than the day to day being reported. Add Donnie's confusing statement on it.

I'm with you on Jost. Makes sense to negotiate a 2 year deal, but they might chase him out of town. We love how you're playing, but we're willing to move Girgs to C and scratch you isn't a great message.

That would be stupid, Jost is a better Hockey Player and fits the timeline better the Girgensons.

You said this first aboht a week ago and I disagreed then but I’ve changed my tune.

Jost probably won’t get much on the open market. He was waived this year

My thought is they let him test the waters and try and bring him back on a Vinny type deal

Sick of hearing about his leadership and the Vibes he brings. Sabres have better players coming through there system. It's time to take this team to the next faze of the rebuild.

You don't pay a premium, albeit not a huge one, for a guy like that just to let him walk, especially after we heard the coach pull so hard for him. While I don't like the move as a whole, he hasn't looked healthy since he got here, and I think the Sabres know that.
