Interesting question. When you sign your starter as a UFA for 1.8m, doesn't that 1.8 reflect the expectations? On a similar note, they told us UPL needed another year in Roch, then he got forced into duty.

The expectations should have been low, maybe they still let them down.

Interesting response. While expectations are allowed to be tempered for a rookie and a gamble, they still vastly underperformed vs their peers. They'd look better with a more competent defense, but as mentioned there are better performing goaltenders in worse situations.

Someone at the end of your press conference needs to ask the question of “Analytically you guys say you are very involved and have built this amazing department, and yet the team analytically had some of the worst defense and worst goaltending in the entire league. Why wasn’t this addressed and How do you plan on addressing that?
