He is doing it the wrong way and is way too public about it.

He’s acting like a child and putting harbough on Blast during his press conference today.

The owners and coaches will take notes and stay away.

How is he being a Richard and immature?

Because he took to social media to clarify himself and say he no longer wants to play for the ravens?

- ImThatGuy

He's not disparaging anyone. Imagine if Rodgers did 1% of what Lamar did by clarifying his intentions.

Instead, we get "Lose this number"

Guy's a (frank)ing loser.

they'll either pay him or prepare for the 24 draft. I think they pay him.
- TheSabresTaco

I know the colts won’t trade for him. They won the minshew sweepstakes

He's not being a Richard or immature, but I do think that if you're going to represent yourself without an agent, you better be damn sure you know what the (frank) you're doing. And I'm not sure that is the case with Lamar.

Example A. What he did today. That screams immaturity. He literally posted it as harbough said lamar was the Qb for next year.

He has also done a lot of stuff over the last year via social media

You really want an immature selfish player as the face of your franchise?

Again. See jack Eichel and his situation here. It’s very similar and toxic.

His own teammates called him out for not playing last year and he gave up on the team

Toxic and immature and give him 250 mill

Sounds like a terrible idea. I would pass it in the ravens

I think lamar stays in Baltimore.

Unless they know about some off field/ teammate type issues that are not public.

Losing a guy like that, good luck with season ticket holders. I'm imagining they wouldn't be happy.

No lamar = rebuild IMO

I don't want to hear the terms blockbuster and sweepstakes used unless they're followed by "is making a comeback" and "for Bedard " respectively

Good comparison with eichel and lamar too some degree.

Eichel fired his agents if I recall, during the process.

Lamar needs some professional advice most likely.

If the Bill's didnt have josh, only a handful of guys I'd be more excited about as a sth.

Lamar is gonna most likely reach a deal with Baltimore IMO

I would think so too. The cost for the trade would be high on top of the contract for any team.

Deshaun Watson did the same thing. He tore the Texans apart said he’d never play for them again, and had some other “notable” off the field issues.

Also other players have attacked the ravens this year for being a poop franchise if you recall.

I mean I guess they can go sign a TE to play QB like the saints did and see how it works out for them.

And that's the real crux of the issue here. 31 other teams not wanting to make the same dumbass move the Browns made with Watson doesn't automatically make it collusion.

Get franchised for a year and make $50+ million. Boo hoo, Lamar. You get hurt way too much. Play on one year deals and each year you're good and healthy you'll add $10 million to your one year price.
- lacaprup

Ravens put him on transitional tag which pays $29,504,000

the guy misses a lot of games
misses a lot of practices due to being "sick"
did not travel with team for playoff game because he was "sick"

turned down 200 mil guarantee in contract last fall because watson got 230 mil guaranteed

probably could have played the playoff game, didn't

I agree he most likely stays with the ravens. I texted that to my buddy earlier today when the news broke

He requested a trade at the start of March and has been dead silent on that for the entire month.

The Ravens screwed themselves here, what franchise QB would want to stay with a franchise that has traded away his best and favorite wide receiver to put even more pressure on their QB?

So you are telling me that everything Lamar has done over the last 2 seasons with his ravens contract negotiations has been okay??

If Josh Allen did this. I would be embarrassed for the player more so the organization.

Lamar is about himself and not the team.

- Sabretooth9

You're joking, right? I mean, seriously.... wow. Please enlighten me - which players are thinking about the team when they sign contracts for hundres of millions of dollars? And exactly when is the business thinking about the players? C'mon.

I can see both sides of this part. Even with all the other stuff on this list, Lamar Jackson is a more valuable player to his team than Watson is, so I don't blame him for wanting to be paid as such. However, again, the Watson deal, trade and all, was an historically stupid deal, and this isn't being considered on his end. And that's where representing yourself gets messy.

Has anyone verified those numbers?
I’ve seen gross speculation, that’s all.

Lamar is a top 5 QB in the game.

I see no issues trying to get the most money possible for himself.

The guy has elevated a mediocre rosters for years. They completely neglected the offense. Blame the Browns for giving Watson the guaranteed deal - that is what started the escalation of guaranteed money.

Josh Allen was about the team when he signed his deal that paid him the most guaranteed money in NFL history at that time.

How many times do we have to hear players say to other players it’s a business get your money.

If you had to win a playoff game today, how many qbs are you taking over him? You're glossing over the rest of the man's work. He is a made man in this league in the prime of his career.
