Bennet>Tkachuk> flourishing away from Calgary and the rebuild since 2005...who would have thought??

A rebuild since 2005, what the (frank) are you talking about. The Flames haven't gone through a rebuild they have tried to retool and the the owner doesn't help regardless who is GM or coach and now the Flames have sloppier thirds with Nonis on board.

I am thinking they bring in Brunnette.

Conny needs a younger, more progressive coach, and the fact that Brunnette squeezed 115 points out of a Lemon is pretty impressive.

At least the hockey would be fun to watch.

Brunette was Q’s assistant coach for the offense. Q stepped down, shall we say, after 7 or 8 games into last season. The offense kept rolling, but Brunette let a lot of loose and reckless play slide as the season wore on, things that Q would never have let go unchecked. (Even Hubie found himself at the end of Q’s bench a few times) Definitely seems like a “players’ coach”, but idk if he’ll crack the whip if/when it may be needed.

Would rather Huska, enough of the recycled coaches.
Hanifin to Buffalo for the 12th oa + if he resigns.
Lindholm to NYR for Laf.

Francis is saying he does not believe there is much chance Lindholm returns.

Also I would hope they could get a lot more for Lindholm than Lafreniere.
