Better to get younger IMO. He would be an upgrade though.

Germany beats the US. They've built a good hockey program.

Do the Canucks scout them?

No. Germans are primarily 6' or taller and are Alphas.

Beta midgets required here.

If I see the first period. Bring back Baer OEL and Myers and first periods will become less and less.

Eklund posted a story about the 2 Canadian women's team members getting engaged.
What could possibly go wrong in the comments section?

NJD has a pretty good D core going forward, I have always had an interest in Bahl.

Years of drafting high with so few results, despite being so far from the prize. That's an inability to judge your own team.......which you manage to begin with.

Throw in poor pro and likely near average amateur scouting and we are where we are.

Those Gillis to the Leafs GM possibilities are intriguing to me. He could totally (frank) it up or really make some moves with so many resources available to him that he didn't have prior.

Clearly, Benning wasn't was advertised. Scouting department is still suspect. Why I'm apathetic about the draft still.

He had many top picks, and really hurt his own draft position by trying to be competitive. Traded picks, lower lottery odds, less cap space.

Blame ownership all you want, the same would extend to Gillis and somewhat Nonis who lasted a year under FA I believe.

How do you get a good scouting staff? Isn’t that on the GM? Is it that the good ones are dedicated to other clubs? Just can’t understand why it’s been a never ending theme with Canucks drafting being piss poor.

Hiring has something to do with it, so does the amount of money you spend. Not having a plethora of draft picks in 2 decades doesn't help.

Boeser Demko forsling, tree, McCann, Hughes, Petterson, podkolzin, guadette and hogs. There’s a number of GM’s that didn’t do as well is that in the same time span and I’m sure I’m even missing some that will have decent NHL careers.
