??… Not sure where Bettman comes in as far as individual teams revenue from advertising, or am I missing the sarcasm? Then it’s time for that Superman gif. - Angotti
Here you go. Just me being sarcastic, I was just posting my inner PE, although he his conspiracies have been awful quiet lately.

Be interesting to see if Toronto can keep playing the hard defensive game they have the last two games? That kind of hockey is difficult to play, you get hurt playing it, it’s not as gratifying stepping in front of pucks as it is scoring goals. I expect the physicality to get ramped up even more. - paulr
The Leafs are on a 57 year losing streak. Thats all you need to know.
The anxiety tomorrow in Toronto will be at extreme levels. To be followed immediately at 11:00 P.M. by mass depression, feelings of worthlessness and hopelessness, nausea and for some suicide attempts.
And then Sheldon Keefe will be fired because its all his fault.
Go Bruins!! |

Montgomery calling out Pastranak. Says he's got to play better. Pasta has just disappeared lately. Do or die for both teams Saturday night. - boilermaker100
If Montgomery wants to call out someone, he should start with his top 2 centres Zacha and Coyle..
Biz said it last night ( and I love Biz!) that the strong last months of the seaosn by both thise centres were the reason that Bruins diidn't go looking at the deadline.... |

Honestly I am waiting to see the Bruins on Saturday and if 69 goals return to the Leaf's line-up.

Right? That’s the plan - 1st the Leafs should lose and Leaf Nation implodes on itself in mass hysteria. THEN… the Bruins are supposed to lose in the next round and we all get to see Brad Marchand cry… yet again.
It’s a WIN-WIN scenario.
This Leaf stingy-defense-two-game-winning-streak is screwing with the script. |

A nice bottle of Nickel and Nickel Cabernet.
Will pick one I have from 2021 because that will also remind me of the year they had a 3-1 playoff series lead on the Canadiens and then crashed and burned. Such fond memories of that one.
However, this Bruin team won't be going much farther either.

We bought a bottle of Masi Costasera Amarone when we were in Italy two years ago. I’ll take that out when the Hawks win the next cup. I’ll look for a bottle of Blue Nun or Baby duck for another season of Leaf futility, it’s all they’re worth. |

So what should the Kings do with Pierre-Luc Dubois? After a disappointing regular reason he was even worse in the playoffs.
If they can buy him out prior to him turning 26 the cap hit would be $1.1 million for 14 years (yes, 14 years). If they buy him our at age 26 the cost is about $2.1 million.
Before anyone suggests it...I would not trade Jones for Dubois. I would much rather have Jones on the Hawks. - DarthKane
Let that be a lesson, even great rebuilders make mistakes.
You going to bring a guy in to put you over the tope, you better be damn sure he's the right kind of guy to put you over the top.

I really wonder if Pasta is hurt? Watching him closer than normal last night, he was so easily pushed off the puck, and actually falling to the ice on just medium hits. Playing very tentative.
Something looks way off |

Drew Doughty said when Kings at bottom, missing playoffs was "getting old." Asked if worse to miss or lose in 1st rd multiple seasons.
"Not making playoffs is worse but they both suck....job objective this season was to win 1st rd, see what we could do going forward, it's unfortunate we're unable to do that."

For those that care, and for those that don't a fantastic post-mortem of the Kings season by one of their bloggers.

Thanks for the link. I’ll give PLD a bit of a break here - I didn’t realize he was slotted at 3C behind Danault at 2C for most the season. That’s not his game - or Danault’s for that matter.
However, I still believe it was a mistake for LA to trade for him. |

I don't follow them really, havent seen them play in a while. Saw them more early in the season when they looked unbeatable.
In the end, would they have been better off keeping the guys they traded for PLD? Would it have made a diff this year? over the next few years?
As i've stated, no one is going to rebuild perfectly, there will be mistakes. Could John Lynch and the 49ers have drafted a guy or two, or traded for a different guy with the picks he used to trade up for Trey Lance that would have put them over the top instead of losing the big game???
We'll never know, but i find it intriguing how one blemish, in the middle of a rebuild, can railroad 3 previous years of very good moves. If you don't realize it, admit it, fix it, and move on, you can stall the rebuild in its tracks. Very easy to say, much harder to do as the railroading move was yours, and you have to admit quickly you f'd up

I start taling to Utah management about swapping a defenseman for a forward to "help both clubs."
I want Dylan Guenther who is a sharp shooter. |

Well would this be logical:
Guenther for KK
Then draft a dman Instead of Eiserman |

Why no one has ever said this?
The Maple Leafs have an appropriate name
They get swept up, raked over and out to the curb for pick up. The leafs are discarded just like the leaves on your lawn each season |
