Gracias Trevor, always appreciated your dedication to us fans. You could just mail it in like so many of the players, but you continue to provide good content.

I’m worried that the Flames ownership promotes DS to GM, we’ve seen that episode before and much like his coaching he brought in old guys past their expiry date. They could make him President, but I, not sure he’d be happy with that. Time to fix this mess, if we’re looking at a new coach, I’d love to see Mitch Love given the opportunity. If the Flames don’t someone else will. I’m not sold on Conroy just yet as GM, he seems to float in the background, not saying too much of anything. Don’t really know what his duties consist of, or how loud of a voice he has at the table. Purge the old regime, let’s see a new direction for the team.
Still a bubble team next year than sell off players on expiring contracts. Some of these guys would fetch a great haul.

Huberdeau for what ever reason has been a huge disappointment. He needs to take these last few games and focus on playing the way he has in the past. Doesn’t seem to jell with anyone, looks scared to be creative and make a mistake.
Weegar on the other hand has played quite well the last 15 games. I can see him and Raz forming a very good top D pairing next year.
Kadri needs to shut his whiney piehole, get back to playing the pesky, irritating way that has made him successful before. You want more icetime, play better, it’s a simple fact. Unless your Looch or Lewis.

Go Flames Go!
We need a streak to start, whether that’s winning or losing!

In a more positive conversation, Jerome Iginlas son was drafted by Seattle Thunderbirds last year. Last I watched, he was playing 3rd line center for them. Seattle has a very good team so for him to make it is a huge accomplishment. Thunderbirds are a m cup favourite so l look forward to watching his game. His NHL draft year is 2024, coming from such a high pedigree I’m sure he’s going to get lots of attention. Be pretty awesome if the Flames pick up a few extra picks next year and can use one to draft him.
Check him out Tig Iginla.

Thanks Trevor!

I agree with K-man, you are doing a great job. There were a lot more Flames posters here before. As we went for a while without a decent blogger, they went to other places. A rebuild or a playoff run will bring them back.

Thank you. That is very appreciated.

If Sutter is sticking around, you would hope it’s either as coach or advisor. I’m not seeing Bob Murray listed as a scout in the hockey operations staff section of the Flames website anymore, but I was thinking that he might be a front runner if Treliving were to move on and Sutter stay.

Treliving going to Pittsburgh with Burkie? I’ve heard rumours he may take over for Bettman.

In the grand scheme of things why do we feel so invested in these $$$$ babies, it’s the entertainment factor I get but I can appreciate players making peanuts playing in the CFL, they do it because of love of the game it’s sickening when a player like Huberdeau doesn’t care because he’s set for life. Speaking of posters what happened to Flaming Irish?

You spelt Rocket wrong!
Where are the Hitman drafting? I know my Rockets squeaked in to the playoffs. Cristall top 15 pick in the NHL draft, he scores goals but pretty uneventful after that. I hope Vancouver picks him. Caden Price for the Rockets was ranked to go in the first round but has since fallen back.

Hitmen have won a few this week and it looks like they will get in the playoffs so Iggy jr is likely to be gone when Calgary picks

Vladar gave up 1 goal against Ducks tues, Markstrom gave up 12 his last 2 games against playoff teams, hmmm maybe try Vladar against Vegas whats it gonna hurt? Maybe the team will play better. Definately no enthusiasm. Maybe a players only meeting behind closed doors to figuare it out?

I think its time for Conroy to come in. Give Sutter a job in upper management and spend a lot more money in scouting. If you really want to see your fanbase grow, you need to have some sustained success.

Teams like Florida and the Rangers have things a lot easier. Winnepeg, Calgary, Edmonton, and Ottawa have to be on the list of least desirable places to live for players not from those provinces, and maybe some Swedes.

Doubt it. He's not Swedish. Caught Tij a couple of times here on the Island. He impressed me for a 16 year old. Wouldn't be surprised if he was an NHL first rounder. Unfortunately, the Royals might have too high of a pick to go for Joe.

Be careful, he is sensitive about his little issue. He gets people banned. It would seem this is his safe space.

I saw Tig vs Rockets in October before heading south. He didn’t look out of place, next year should be a big year for him, should be able to move up into the top 6. He’s dedicated, I see him at the gym pretty much everytime I’m there. Would love the Flames to get sentimental and draft him.
