The Carolina Hurricanes selected forward Bradly Nadeau with the 30th overall pick in this year’s NHL Draft today.

Nadeau spent the year with Penticton of the BCHL, where he posted excellent numbers. The right-handed forward scored 45 goals and 113 points in just 54 games, leading the league in both goals and points and earning Playoff MVP honours, on route to his second-straight BCHL championship.

Nadeau is on the smaller side, at just 5-foot-10 and 161 pounds, and is set to join the University of Maine next season. The pick marks the Hurricanes’ first time selecting in the first round since the 2020 NHL Draft, when they selected Seth Jarvis.

The Hurricanes’ next pick will come at 62nd overall, with eight more total picks on Day Two.
