Game 71 Preview: Flyers vs. Bruins
The Philadelphia Flyers (35-26-9) will host the Boston Bruins (41-15-15) at the Wells Fargo Center on Saturday afternoon. Game time is 1:00 p.m. EDT.
The Flyers, 4-4-2 over their last 10 games, have an 18-14-3 home record to date this season. They are coming off a 3-2 overtime road loss to the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday. The Bruins, 6-3-1 in their last 10 games, are 18-6-9 on the road to date in 2023-24. Montgomery's club is coming off a 5-2 home loss to the New York Rangers on Thursday.
The Flyers, in the midst of playing three games in four nights, did not practice on Friday. Neither team will hold a morning skate on Saturday due to the early starting time of the game. As such, it remains to be seen if team captain Sean Couturier figures to return to the lineup after being a healthy scratch in the last two games. It's likely but not confirmed that the Flyers will split goaltending duties this weekend between Samuel Ersson and Felix Sandström. Lineups will be added to the gameday blog as an update before the opening faceoff.
