G2 - Monsters Even Series

The Cleveland Monsters even the AHL Division Finals playoff series at one game a piece with a 4-3 overtime decision over the Belleville Senators.

Period I

Wyatt Bongiovanni opened the scoring for the home team with his first of the postseason. Stephen Halliday and Josh Currie had the helpers.

Tyler Angle brought the game back to even with his first of the playoffs for Cleveland. The tie-maker was supported by Jake Gaudet and Stefan Matteau.

Cole Reinhardt got the Senators’ lead back late in the first for his first goal of the playoffs. His go-ahead goal was assisted by Boko Imama and Halliday.

Jake Gaudet’s first quickly replied with an unassisted goal for the Monsters to close the period at 2 all.

Period II

Josh Dunne got the Monsters’ longest leading goal of the series next with his second of the postseason. David Jiricek and Justin Pearson earned the assists.

Period III

Halliday tied the game at three with a powerplay goal for his first of the playoffs. Egor Solokov had the primary assist. Jacob Larsson had the secondary.

Overtime

Cole Clayton had the overtime winner for his first of the series from Angle and Pearson.

Goalies

Jet Greaves had 36 saves on 39 shots.

Mads Sogaard had 31 saves on 35 shots.

Round 2 Guide Team
