The Leafs will have two games on TV tonight as the Wings are at Tampa, Detroit lost in Florida Thursday night. The other game of interest this evening is Montreal in Ottawa. Habs sit in the only unclinched playoff position.
Over in the West, the Oilers will try to punch their post season ticket tonight, while Calgary tries to stay alive. Flames are the only team in the West on the outside looking in that have a chance at the playoffs.
Habs are very hot having won 6 in a row, outscoring opponent 20-9 as they head to the nations capital this evening. Senators have won three straight at home, with just one goal against. Montreal is 3-0-0 against Ottawa this season and look to sweep the season series vs Senators for the first time in 30 years.
The Leafs are 2-1-0 against Montreal this season, outscoring Canadiens 11-5 and Toronto 4/8 on the power play in the last two games.
Marner sits on 97 points, his career best is 99, he has four points against the Canadiens this season. Toronto has been dominant at home of late. Having won 5 straight, outscoring opponent 23-7 and 5/7 on the power play.
