Period I
Jakub Vrana opened the scoring for the home team with his first of the preseason, unassisted. (0-1)
Emil Bemstrom evened the game with his first of the preseason from Alexandre Texier. (1-1)
Tryout forward Issac Ratcliffe got the Blues back on the board with his first from Blue Jackets’ legend Brandon Saadand new captain Brayden Schenn. (1-2)
The returning Oskar Sundqvist got the Blues’ final goal of the game for the team on the powerplay. His first back in St. Louis was assisted by tryout Nick Ritchie and newcomer Kevin Hayes. (1-3)
Period III
Emil Bemstrom brought the Blue Jackets back into one with a powerplay marker. His second of the game and preseason got apples by Texier and Denton Mateychuk. (2-3)
Aaron Dell allowed three goals on 9 shots in the first period alone. Jet Greaves went the final 40 stopping 3 shots.
Jordan Binnington stopped 10 of 11 shots for a 0.909 save percentage. Malcom Subban stopped 19 of 20 shots for a 0.950 save percentage.
