The Trois-Rivieres Lions returned to Colisee Videotron for a tripleheader against the Idaho Steelheads (Dallas Stars) and wrapped up the weekend to face the Maine Mariners (Boston Bruins).

Wednesday: Idaho Steelheads 3 - Trois-Rivieres Lions 2 (overtime)

Anthony Beauregard recorded his 200th career ECHL point by opening the scoring midway through the first frame. Later in the period, Jakov Novak doubled the lead with a power play goal. The Steelheads tied the game with a pair of goals in a span of 6:26 of the second period. The match remained even until the end of regulation, and Idaho completed the comeback in overtime and snapped the Lions four-game winning streak with a goal at the 1:24 mark.

Friday: Idaho Steelheads 0 - Trois-Rivieres Lions 2

The second game of the tripleheader featured a goalie battle. The match was scoreless until midway through the third period when Morgan Adams-Moisan lit the red light for Trois-Rivieres. Alex Beaucage added to the lead with a shorthanded goal with 1:20 remaining. Zachary Emond was named first star and made 35 saves to record his first shutout of the season.

“Wednesday, we were playing a little bit of their style. Friday, we were more in our identity. We did more of what we wanted in all three zones. I think the guys executed the game plan very well,” coach and general manager Ron Choules said.

Sunday: Trois-Rivieres Lions 4 - Maine Mariners 2

The Mariners led 1-0 when Nijhoff and Beaucage scored in an interval of 8:42 to allow the Lions to go on top through 20 minutes. The Bruins affiliated tied it in the second period, but that lasted 18 seconds as Nijhoff recorded his second of the afternoon to put Trois-Rivieres on top. With 5:13 remaining in regulation, Beaucage scored for a second time with the man advantage to increase the lead to two goals and help his team leave the arena with two points.
