Knights/Avs Flounder Bowl |

The Colorado Avalanche will be looking to get sweet revenge on the sputtering Las Vegas Golden Knights tonight in what may be a heated affair. The Golden Knights have struggled both defensively (28th in goals allowed at 3.80 per game) and offensively (27th in goals for at 2.00 per game) of late and are coming off being handed a 2-0 shutout by the New York Islanders on Sunday night. Meanwhile, the Avalanche have their own problems. Starting the season 2-3-0 and being outscored 20-13 in that time — expect both teams to be ironing out their wrinkles tonight. Here is the projected lineup.
Marchessault-Karlsson-Smith
Krebs-Stephenson-Janmark
Dadonov-Roy-Kolesar
Carrier-Leschyshyn-Howden
Hague-Pietrangelo
Theodore-Miromanov
McNabb-Coghlan
Lehner
Brossoit
Miromanov climbs the ladder
While the 24 year old Moscow native was held off the scoresheet in his first NHL game, so was the rest of the Vegas roster. He had two shots on goal and showed strong passing ability.
Hague the silver lining
The 6’6” 215 pound blue liner has been playing well despite the team’s poor performance. He is currently playing first pairing minutes with Alex Pietrangelo. The 22 year old played 22:21 against the Islanders.
Breaking the streak
The Golden Knights have never lost four in a row under Peter DeBoer until this current losing streak. While the results aren’t there, playing the hated Avs may be the shot in the arm required to get back on track.
Enjoy the game,
