For only the second time in their existence, your Florida Panthers are heading to the Eastern Conference Finals!
Never in a million years did fans think this team would be in the position they are currently in. After trudging through a wildly frustrating regular season where Florida was a shell of its President’s Trophy-winning self just a season before, this group somehow managed to pull things together just enough to scrape into the playoffs.
Once there, they knocked out the Boston Bruins (the best team in regular season NHL history) and then defeated the favored Toronto Maple Leafs —with all that firepower—to getthemselves into the ECF.
What a ride it’s been!
The Cats will now turn their attention to a familiar foe in the Carolina Hurricanes. The Canes won two of the three games these two teams faced off during the regular season. But this is a whole new group of Cats since that time. A new game-plan and attitude has unlocked the true identity of this group. One of tenacity, drive, and the inability to go away.
The claws are out and this should make for a helluva series.
