We are ten games into the Vancouver Canucks' season, and it is impossible not to be happy with what we are seeing. Ten games in, the Canucks have exceeded initial expectations, as they sport a marvelous 7-2-1 record. However, they hit a whole new level against the San Jose Sharks, defeating the rebuilding squad by a ridiculous 10-1 final score.

Yes, the Sharks have been historically bad to start the new season. They have a 0-9-1 record and just ten goals on the season. However, one cannot just gloss over the Canucks putting up ten goals in a single contest.

Quinn Hughes led the way with a goal and four assists. Brock Boeser, J.T. Miller, and Elias Pettersson each had three points. Meanwhile, the Canucks had five players who had two-point nights - Anthony Beauvillier, Filip Hronek, Andrei Kuzmenko, Sam Lafferty, and Carson Soucy.
You just don't see so many players have multi-point nights very often, and this will be a game that Canucks fans will remember for quite some time because of it.

Although this 10-goal night was against the Sharks, it does show just how much potential the Canucks have to dominate offensively. This, along with their goaltending, is the strongest part of their roster, and it could be enough for them to get back into the playoffs.

The real question will now be if the Canucks can keep this kind of play up for the remainder of the season. Their first ten games of the season were a true success, and they capped it off in such an entertaining and dominant fashion against the Sharks. Right now, it is hard not to feel optimistic about their playoff hopes, but we have a long season ahead of us, and things can always change.
