Florida vs Nashville: Apex Predator Mascot Showdown |
|
|
|
After a mini-break, the Panthers will take the ice against the Nashville Predators tonight.
I must admit, the Predators are better than I thought. Paying no attention to them (personally can’t stand them), I was surprised to see they are 40-25-4, good enough for fourth in a tough Central Division. The teams ahead of them are:
1. Winnipeg
2. Colorado
3. Dallas
Prior to their break, Florida was playing some rough hockey. Yes, they had the great comeback versus the Stars, but their subsequent two loses after that showed shades of their former selves.
Hey, I’m all for the “Cardiac Cats” making an appearance here and there, but I don’t want this trend to start up again.
The Cats will need to get back to form, and quick for the remaining stretch. Per our
Litter Box Cats friends:
“
The gritty Predators come into the tilt riding a three-game winning streak. After opening a three-game road trip with a one-goal loss to the Minnesota Wild, Nashville picked up victories over the Winnipeg Jets and Seattle Kraken before making a quick stop in Music City, where they destroyed the lowly San Jose Sharks 8-2, on their way to Sunrise. Filip Forsberg leads the Predators in goals (36) and scoring with 74 points while Roman Josi is one of three NHL defensemen to hit 70 points this season.“
Quick Notes:
- Barkov is out tonight and dealing with an injury that Maurice says, “
This is not major. The question is can we clean something up with another day? That’s what we’re trying to figure out."
- Bob gets the start
- With Kulikov suspended for two-games, Uvis Balinskis will slot in on the blueline
How sweet are these Forsling stats?
