Game 74 Preview: Flyers @ Canadiens

The Philadelphia Flyers (36-27-10) are in Quebec on Thursday to play the Montreal Canadiens (27-32-12). Game time at Bell Centre is 7:00 p.m. EDT.

The Flyers went 2-3-2 in their recent seven-game gauntlet of games against the top teams in the Eastern Conference. Philadelphia enters Thursday's game with a one-point lead over the Washington Capitals in the battle for third place in the Metropolitan Division. On Tuesday at Madison Square Garden, the Flyers took a 2-1 lead into the final 20 minutes of regulation. In the third period, the Flyers had to battle back from three separate one-goal deficits before losing in overtime, 6-5.

The Canadiens are in their first game back from a five-game western road trip (2-2-1). The Habs won each of the two final games, 5-1 in Seattle and 2-1 in Colorado on Tuesday. The Canadiens are now at home for the next five games.

On Thursday, the Flyers will hold an 11:30 a.m. EDT morning skate at Belle Center. Defensemen Nick Seeler (IR, foot) and Jamie Drysdale (IR, shoulder) both took in Tuesday's morning skate at Madison Square Garden, and both players are getting close to being cleared to return to play. Travis Sanheim has been taking maintenance days but playing in games. Center Ryan Poehling appeared to be physically laboring late in the third period and overtime of Tuesday's game against the Rangers.

Projected lineups below are subject to change and will be updated during the day. For an in-depth game preview, looking at team trends, stats, matchups and keys to victory, see today's Five Things on PhiladelphiaFlyers.com.
