Preview: Flyers vs. Blues
It's Halloween hockey night at Wells Fargo Center as the Flyers (3-6-1) take on the St. Louis Blues (5-5-0). Coming off a 25-save shutout against the Boston Bruins on Wednesday evening, Samuel Ersson will get the start in goal for the Flyers.
Also not surprisingly, the Flyers are expected to use the same starting line combinations as they featured in Wednesday's game in Boston.
11 Travis Konecny - 14 Sean Couturier - 39 Matvei Michkov
74 Owen Tippett - 48 Morgan Frost - 71 Tyson Foerster
86 Joel Farabee - 21 Scott Laughton - 10 Bobby Brink
27 Noah Cates - 25 Ryan Poehling - 19 Garnet Hathaway
6 Travis Sanheim - 55 Rasmus Ristolainen
24 Nick Seeler - 9 Jamie Drysdale
36 Emil Andrae - 77 Erik Johnson
33 Samuel Ersson
[35 Aleksei Kolosov]
PP1: Drysdale, Tippett, Frost, Konecny, Michkov
PP2: Andrae, Foerster, Couturier, Farabee, Brink
For the Blues, who will be without key center Robert Thomas (fractured right ankle) for an estimated six weeks, the team will look to close out a four-game road trip on a positive note. The trip started with a strong effort in a win over the Toronto Maple Leafs but gave way to a disappointing loss in Montreal and a blowout debacle in Ottawa.
