As I try to pontificate the void of my writing, there is no excuse. There should be a higher consciousness in regards to what we have all been gong through from turkey day though December 7th, one of the more significant days of our history. So, after a road trip out west where the dice came up for us, things looked decent in regards to team resilience and the measuring stick against everyone else who needed to analyze the long season and what you have to endure. I guess we once again have found out that what we need to do is transcend the status quo and be brave. What we have is mediocrity that we can’t afford. As a season ticket holder you can’t sell the nicest seats in the place for $18.00 and think there is no problem. In regards to the NHL, we are a hockey hotbed. This is a destination. The border and the ability to watch heroes of the game is a fifteen-minute drive, and $200.00 less a seat than Toronto. Am I missing something here? The Leafs are subject, and you can come and watch the stars of every team for half of the price. The league has major issues of promotion. Dress up in some peculiar fashion that you can be seen on the northern shore of lake Ontario, or have a real experience in the Queen City for a fraction of the price. Back to our team…. Not Toronto who will always be amusing.

So, we are once again in the grasp of sustaining irrelevancy, and it is not good enough. We can pretend that our team has resilience, but we obviously don’t. There are pockets of ferocity, but it is never sustained. Discipline is a mantra, but has moments of lapses. Injuries, coaching, lack of professionalism, whatever it is we have issues. At the most critical time coming home after a milked out road trip, we let the best player on Minnesota finish on a four on one. Game over. There is a fine line and we need guys to pummel the message. Two points out of the last ten is a joke after commandeering a west coast miracle. As Sabre fans, how can we spend good money when the team can’t sustain a winning mentality? I understand the concept is a solid plan in regards to being puck protective and safe, but when are we going to dominate?

Dear Sabres, Pegula, Adams, and the arena experience. You have let us down and it is snowballing as we finally see the white stuff on the ground. Too many years and not enough juice. It is inept and not close to what we all could promote. Free tickets for blood. Buy one get another half price, we as season ticket holders suffer and you don’t care. Thanks for the felt banner. We get a quarter of what we pay if we are lucky. Shame on you.

Time to punch someone on the mouth, it is time to make concessions, it is time to pay it forward to your season ticket holders for their loyalty in which you give nothing back. If you have no comprehension in regards to your responsibility, then go back to your stupid Clarence decision, and continue to not be one of us. Lindy, we love you but it is time to give a slew foot in practice or force a trade in your bottom six. At this point it doesn’t matter. Find someone who will run through the wall.

Back to the Avalanche of five losses in a row. We all need some Looney Tunes. Cocktails for everyone. Make the crazy decisions. We have a decent core and a great coach. Make moves. Be better. Take us out of the abyss. What we all hoped would not happen is happening. A December of despair and nobody wanting to pay for the games. It couldn’t go worse. A few wins and heroes establishing themselves would have made major strides. You just don’t get it.



Sometimes it is better to be the dog in the fight. At least you are scrapping.

The Avalanche was the last thing that we could take. We are not a professional team. We have no resilience for the compassion of our fan base. At the most crucial time of a home stand that was a blessing, we have made no changes to help us over the top. I think drinks are in order. Perhaps somebody should mix up a martini. We do not have any other answers. This is all too familiar. We continue to care but it seems that they don’t. Ouch, take my money, make me not want to watch, breed complacency. It is time to give back and go for it. There is no more plan, be brave and be relevant. How can you let the Bruins, who’s owner is definitely subject in regards to integrity, run a team from his spire in Buffalo, and embarrass us.

To the fellow season ticket holders who either ate $200.00, or got $18.00 a seat. Perhaps there is a party for us instead of threats and a weak press conference talking about Santa.

Notes from the stairs to the basement when we need hope. That is where you should be opening your presents Kevin, because you are giving us none. Enjoy your paycheck in your home town while you visit the restaurants on Transit Road. You are clueless.

I am ready to write and will be glad to do so as the metaphorical red light continues to plague us. I appreciate the opportunity, but I will not sit back as generations have been lost to one of the greatest NHL franchises.

When the boys giving out numbers are ready to hire, interview me, I am sure they couldn’t do any worse.

To the contingency of misfit toys who hockeybuzz has lost, I hope you can chime in once in a while.

Thanks, and you will once again here from me soon. The things that have transpired are unacceptable. I understand that everyone works under a system, but why do we have to constantly suck. My team smells like cheerios, not delicious frosted flakes. Where is my Barnaby, Ray, or Varada. Where is the entertainment that surpasses being safe? Make some trades, shake this snow globe up before it is too late.

Kevyn, you were at best average as a player and very lucky to have a career. Stop kidding yourself and quit pretending to know what you are doing with your mundane speech. You have no highlights, and you should throw your ring in lake Erie. It was ours, not yours. Our franchise is suffering because you want a paycheck. No more. Trust the process Terry.
