The Florida Panthers are simply the most dominant team we have seen in a long time.
And now they have two Stanley Cups, to their name, with no reason to think that they won’t be the favorites again next year. The dominant of hockey in Florida continues with the Bolts and the Panthers battling for the Stanley Cup. Quite plainly the Panthers own the boards in the series. They had no trouble getting out of their own zone and they made it all kinds of difficult for Edmonton to get Out of their own end…. Perhaps the biggest that is the Florida Panthers set a record for leading in a Stanley Cup final at over 257 minutes.. that record was set by the Oilers in 1987 against the Philadelphia Flyers who led for 250 minutes… but that was a seven game series. In a six game series the Panthers had the lead for over four games. That’s just unbelievable…. But everything about the Panthers is pretty much unbelievable…. If there was any question at all, who the best GM in the NHL is…. It’s clearly Bill Zito. Adding Brad Marchand and Seth Jones to a Stanley Cup defending team?
It’s hard to really be tough on the Oilers in the situation. Would they have been better off with Calvin Pickard the whole series? Maybe. Did they get out coached? I would say they did… I believe we’re gonna see many changes though with the Oilers this summer… we’ll get to that tomorrow morning…
It’s also important to remember that the Toronto Maple Leafs gave the Florida Panthers the toughest time on the way to the Stanley Cup…. So before you go rebuilding Toronto……
