I talked to a sourxce today who told me to keep a really god eye on this. This summer has been distinctly lacking big trades like we’ve seen in the past few summers… what is the reason for this?

We have hit a major pause part of that is because teams are attempting to make space to make those major trades are right now they are having a tough time finding twilling partners. However, the UFA class of 2026 is stacked and we’ve also not seen any of those players who could be now signed to an extension…actually signing…

So that mans that some teams, wondering if they should wait and leave space for possible UFA‘s to bem.

The five most notable waiting on extensions have to be…

Conor McDavid
Jack Eichel
Kyle Connor
Atremi Panarin
Sergei Bobrovsky.

Today I was talking to a source and I actually heard one of these names come up in a trade rumor…..Kyle Conner…

And the way that the source talked to me, was very nonchalant, as if it was already known widely that the Boston Bruins were heavy onoKyle Connor…. That he was their trade target this year and at some point they expected to be able to land him prior to July 41, 2026…

The Jets are a kind of a fascinating team this year because the conclusion of this season, all, but three of their current forwards are under contract. Only one of those players who needs a contract is an RFA and that would be Colde Prefetti. So that tells you that this is a make-or-break year for the Winnipeg Jets. If they struggle to get in the playoffs, there will be changes….

From what I’m told,Kyle Conner fits perfectly into what the Bruins are trying to do. His speed and tenaciousness checking and of course scoring touch. Could leave Boston in a different direction.

What say you?
