Wild Roll Into Philly To Take on Pesky Flyers

The Wild coming off an exciting and inspiring overtime thriller in New Jersey, face the Flyers in Philly tonight. Philadelphia is a pesky squad jusy ask Florida about that as they had their playoff push derailed when they visited the Wells Fargo Center on Tuesday night.

When these two teams met in St. Paul back in January the game was highlighted by the fights, four of them to be exact. Pretty rare when it comes to teams that see each other twice a year with not much bad blood history to speak of.

Jared Spurgeon makes his return to the Wild lineup but John Klingberg will miss the game. That sets the third defense pair up to be Alex Goligoski and Jon Merrill.

No easy ones as we know, and Philly will be playing hard as John Tortorella always has hos teams going. The Flyers finally made the move and relieved former Wild GM, Chuck Fletcher, of his President and GM roles shortly after the trade deadline. They have Danny Briere in the interim GM role through the end of the season.

There are players auditioning for next year either with the Flyers or continuing their careers somewhere else. Either way this is a team that cannot be taken for granted.

It's always hockey day in The State of Hockey!
