The Grand Rapids Griffins have clinched a playoff birth. Last year’s loss to Milwaukee may still be fresh on the mind of some players, while others are going to see their first taste of AHL post season atmosphere. What make this even more intriguing are the names that could be on the way to lend their talents.

From the NHL (depending on plans) Kasper, Soderblom, Mazur if he returns from IR and Watson. From overseas, the much awaited debut on North American ice of Axel Sandin-Pellikka. There’s also a chance that if Augustine signs his deal, he could participate and you may at some point see the tandem of Cossa and Augustine. That should have fans excited.

A huge congratulations to the Griffins front office, play by play voices, coaches and players. The fans could be in for an exciting post season run!
