Injured Golden Knights Roll in to Montreal |
|

|
The Las Vegas Golden Knights play game one of a back to back tonight against the 3-9-0 Montreal Canadiens. This will be the first time these two teams have met since game six of the 2021 Conference Final where the Habs took it in overtime 3-2. Both teams are struggling with injury issues from their respective cup runs and both have underperformed so far this season. Montreal is coming off a 6-2 spanking at the hands of the New York Islanders Friday night and the Golden Knights beat the Senators 5-1 the same night.

Amadio finding a place
Waiver pickup Mike Amadio has been finding his place in the lineup since coming over from Toronto. While he’s been held pointless in two games, he’s noticeable during the play. Here’s hoping he gets his first point as a Golden Knight tonight.
Roy in a familiar spot
You may remember Nic Roy was playing the first line center role against the Habs in the playoffs last year. Tonight he finds himself once again in that spot in the lineup. He’s been huge for the Golden Knights this year and is coming off a two assist performance against the Senators.
.500 hockey
Given Vegas’ injury issues (see below), it’s truly amazing the Golden Knights are 5-5-0 on the season. If they can stay around that clip until their stars are playing again; look out.
(Must be Sabres fans running dailyfaceoff.com as Eichel isn’t on the injured board yet)
Have a great night and enjoy the game,
