Summary:
The Griffins started on time, but werenāt rewarded. Nearly doubling Milwaukee in shots in the first 13-7 but Milwaukee scored. In the second, Milwaukee was dominant and scored what felt like a dagger as Askarov and the Milwaukee D held the Griffins off the score sheet. Then, the third.
Full marks to Berggren for a Hat Trick, Lāesperance with the other goal. The griffins scored 4 times in 3.5 minutes. After the 2nd goal, there was a Griffins 3 on 1 and Askarov who has been brilliant appeared to hurt himself on a tough save. He was pulled and on the next shift Grand Rapids scored. Then soon after, they scored again as Berggren saw hats shower down from the crowd.
2 power play goals, a PK that killed off a 2 minute 5 on 3, and now it looks like Milwaukee may be down a star goalie. This was a shock and a period where Milwaukee was leading 2-0 turned into a 4-2 loss.
Berggren has 4 game winners now in the playoffs. Out of 5 wins. Whatever his future holds his stock looks pretty good right now. This was a big win and now there is a big question mark for Milwaukee. If the Griffins can start the game in Milwaukee like they did tonight, they may find success that looked completely elusive.
I hope you were able to catch this one, but watch the highlights if you missed it. Congrats to the Griffs for staying alive and finding a way to get the power play clicking. Edvinsson was back and Danielson was out of the lineup. Hirose back in. It may be best to stick with the vets for game 5. It will be a fire keg as the physicality continues to pick up.

Grand Rapids finally got on the board as Berggren ripped a beauty from the left half wall far side in the first part of a double minor power play. 2-1 MIL
With just 30 seconds to go still on the power play, Lāesperance shot a goal 5 hole and tied it up at 2 with 10:27 left in the 3rd
30 seconds later Askarov was pulled after injuring himself on a save. The gifs scored on the next shift. Berggren tapped in a pass from the face off circle. 3-2 GR
With 8:27 left, 4 on 4, Berggren completed the hat trick. 4-2 Griffins.
