For those who’ve followed the WJC U20 you know that Axel Sandin-Pellikka has 9 points in the tournament, but Sweden lost to Finland in overtime yesterday. Still, Detroit has ASP on Sweden in the Bronze medal game, Kiiskenin will be playing for Gold with Finland along with Trey Augustine and Max Plante who will be going head to head with Finland. At least 3 DRW prospects will have tournament medals and the future feels bright. As of yesterday Kiiskenin had 5 goals and an assist in the in tournament. Tune if if you can! After talking to a college coach 2 weeks ago (no video yet) the CHL Transfer and Name, Image Likeness issue was briefly touched on.

This, unfortunately, looped back to some of the new NCAA rules as Matt kept me up to date on what happened. Weeks ago I gave a scenario where a player could be paid to hold off on the draft. In football, it just happened. 6 million dollars worth of tampering:

This quarterback is being paid 6 million dollars to drop out of the final 4 (if he agrees) and forego entering the draft.

It’s not just players either. Multiple teams lost coaching staff right before their bowl game. “Strings’nPucks” will have a multi part series on how this could easily affect the NHL, Canadian Pro jr, and even European pro jr. Be ready for some mind blowing numbers!
