Today: Updated on the Rumor Chart Today So far... ....GO here.> EKLUND'S TRADE RUMOR CHART

The rumor tracker will be live today, as highly probable that we see some trades come down this afternoon and tonight...

On Markstrom...

New Jersey Devils GM Tom Fitzgerald was just on XM radio today speaking about how he believes he will be able to get a goalie by the trade deadline, Meanwhile sources I talk to you believe that Markstrom is very close, and still are saying there's a very good chance Hanifin could be coming as well, although Hanifin has made it known that he wants to play in Tampa, and that may worry the Devils here.

On what happened here Devils/Flames deal for Markstrom...

A source in Canada filled me in last night on actually what happened in the trade that didn't go down last week. Jacob Markstrom had told the Flames not to come to him and ask about going to another team unless they had a trade completely finished and done. Last week, the Devils and Flames worked out a deal and Calgary went to Markstrom and told him the deal and he accepted the trade. That deal included the Flames picking up a portion of the salary. So New Jersey and Jacob Markstrom were prepairing to announce this deal. Then out of nowwhere the Flames came back to the Devils and said that they didn't have a deal, at first saying they didn't think the deal was actually complete, and then saying that the owner nixed the picking up of salary. So they essentially admitted there was a deal, as well as them actually going to Markstrom, but blaming it on the owner.

On Wennberg...

The Seattle Kraken officially became the first team this year to scratch a player from a game to avoid injury in anticipation of a trade.

In general we see this more often than we have this year. Many felt the Flames would keep out Noah Hanifin last night, but they didn't. I also continue to hear that the Flames and Noah Hanifin are still discussing contracts and a possible extension. This could be to keep him for trade him with more value as he would already be signed.

So who is interested in Alex Wennberg?

I'm hearing Boston, Colorado, Florida, Rangers. and Flyers
