With one full calendar year of Staios at the helm in Ottawa, this is early revisionist history of his moves was the GM. What say you about this list? Is it too early? Is it spot on? Who is missed?

Trades

1. Ullmark - the best player they acquired via trade. Sure, the package cost the team Kastelic, Korpisalo, and a first, the Bruins' haven't been the same team either.

2. Jensen - while Chychrun is scoring with Washington, the veteran presence of Jensen on the backend for Ottawa still shows he is a plus player and has produced.

3. Tarasenko - did right by the player and got a puck.

4. Bourgault - good prospect from the Oilers.

5. Jenik - Staios knew him from his days in the OHL.

6. Rees - depth playing in the AHL.

7. Bongiovanni - depth playing in the AHL.

8. Mandelose - gave up a pick for a future pick with this AHL goalie in Colorado.

9. Joseph - playing active minutes in St. Louis, was a needed cap dump by Ottawa.

Contract Signings

1. Pinto - valuable 3C on any team.

2. Gaudette - dark horse signing compared to other additions around the league.

3. Ullmark - risky to sign him instead of having him battle for his money.

4. Perron - still to be determined. It is early.

5. Amadio - rough first 10 games, has turned the corner.

6. Gregor - good depth

7. Soogard - hoping for more development

8. Jenik - hoping for more

9. Pilon - good AHL depth

10. Highmore - good AHL depth
