Senators' forward Xavier Bourgault concluded his entry level contract originally signed by the Edmonton Oilers. Bourgault was acquired via trade with Jake Chiasson by general manager Steve Staios of the Ottawa Senators in exchange for forward Roby Jarventie and a 2025 fourth round draft pick. The 2021 first round draft selection, 22nd overall, had 26 points, 12 goals and 14 assists, in 61 games with the Belleville Senators.
Senators' forward Philippe Daoust was drafted in the sixth round of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, 158th overall. The Barrie, Ontario, Canada native had his first full season with the Belleville Senators, having 22 points in 52 games. Daoust had his most productive season professionally, out scoring himself combined between 22-24 split with the AHL and ECHL.
Tristen Robins is in need of a new deal after being acquired from the San Jose Sharks with Fabian Zetterlund and round 4 pick in the 2025 draft to Ottawa Senators for Noah Gregor, Zack Ostapchuk and round 2 pick in the 2025 draft on Deadline Day.
