Trade Pesce or Skej. Pay the other (Dont even need to do this). Trade Burns to Arizona at years end, Pay the others.

I believe Burns gets to pick 3 teams every year as part of his NMC. AZ surely wouldn't make that cut.

no one's getting what they want in trades for high profile players and everyone else can't move their trash players because no one wants to be using the last remaining dollars in their cap on victor (frank)ing olofsson

teams would rather play out to the tdl than undersell their high end assets like scheifele, hellebuyck, backlund, hanifin, lindholm, pesce, karlsson and so on.

Do what SABRES 89 asked you to do a long time ago: trade or cut the pos.

I hadn't heard of a 3 team either tbh. That's just what was on cap friendly for the Canes, so take it with a grain of salt.

Problem is the Sabres wouldn't have to do that with any of those players. Sabres should be able to put a fair package together for anyone of those players if they wanted. They just choose not to.

What would a Karlsson package from us look like?

Would Savoie, 2024 lottery protected 1st and Joker be enough? I don't know why, they'd be a nightmare defensively but I would love to see EK and Rasmoose play together.

Imagine he'll go for a fraction of that. IE. take out Savoie.

Don't think it makes any sense, but it would be fun to watch.

Why take it with a grain of salt?

Burns was excellent last season for them.

He only has 2 seasons left on his deal, and he only costs Carolina $5.2M per against their cap.

They aren't trading him.

The Sharks aren't ready to accept reality

The Sharks are still looking for a significant return for Erik Karlsson, and they haven’t found one team that’s willing to give them anywhere close to that, and so those teams have all essentially sat back and said, ‘Hey, call us in August. You let us know when you want to talk and we can pick this up again, but we’re not giving you anything significant.’ And that’s problematic for the Sharks, because they think this is a player that you have to get a return for, and more than that, they don’t really want to get nothing and retain 20 percent on this player just to get him off their books. So, I think the hang-up has been a little bit along the same lines that we heard back at the trade deadline, which is, the Sharks are looking for a significant deal and they’re not properly valuing the cap space, the freedom, the flexibility from getting off of an $11.5 million player. And that’s really what’s holding this back.

Would be fun, he would be my last choice on that list though. IMO if the Sabres really wanted to make a move they could make another team really consider it if they wanted to. They have the assets.
What would it take to make Tampa think about moving Cernak. They could use some future and do have some D in the pipeline.
What would it take to get Vegas to move Theodore, again there D pipeline has choices. There are other teams that have players that maybe if Adams made that push could be had.

Talking about what trade the Sabres are going to make is the same as talking about what item of clothing Sam Reinhart is going to autograph for Boss.

It's not happening

And denial runs deep in Buffalo. He's with the team and things are good but just stop with nothing was going on. Diggs was pissed at Allen and really isn't to fond of how Dorsey handled the last part of last year.
- Buff36

IMO Dorsey is on the hot seat in Buffalo, Bills or Sabres. The play design and calling were absolutely horrible down the stretch.
He needs to step up big time.

As expected, TOR announces Matt Murray will be going on LTIR for the 2023-24 season.

With #LeafsForever    Murray to LTIR, they are $11.6M Projected over cap with 22 players on roster (13F/7D/2G)

Likely LTIR: Murray $4.6875M & Muzzin $5.625M = $10.3M

Therefore, need to clear $1.29M to be cap compliant. Can achieve that w/ 20 on roster.

a GM utilizing LTIR vs spending futures to manage cap is smart. The new GM in Toronto quickly put his stamp on that roster and is setting the tone. They are trying to establish a new identity, it's pretty interesting to see him work.

Well how many teams have the room or the assets to give up. Less of a demand cause not many can do it.
