Interesting why not do a 3 team deal then. At first I thought Buffalo was a good fit:
To Boston: Lindholm
To Buffalo: Tanev & Swayman
To Calgary: Krebs, Buff 2024 1st & Carlo

But not sure what pieces Anaheim would give up that would be of interest to us.

So Boston gets a player they already have in the trade. Fantastic. Sounds about right lol

I fully expect Boston to have a good year and maybe do a very soft retool with Pasta and McAvoy in their primes. The elder statesman Marchand can lead the crew as C.

You cannot replace Bergeron, but they were 4-0 last year without him in the line-up.

No. Love the guy but no. You can't put the C on a rat. Only Crosby gets away with that. McAvoy is the guy.

McAvoy is my guy too. I watched the "farewell" video the team made for Bergy. McAvoy was last. Not saying its a for sure thing, but he said "I will do everything I can to protect the legacy here that you have built".

Even if it isn't already decided, those words make me want to give it to the guy.

I think it's wistful thinking and projection to count out the Bruins, but this has to be the biggest low in a decade. Which means they will coast into second in the division or something.

The experts had you guys in like 4th in the division at the start of last season. Not trying to be glib, but I just won't bet against them until they're officially dead and buried

The fact that some of you would entertain trading Charlie Mac, or Lindholm for Trevor effing Zegras scares the ever loving sh*t out of me.

best would be a bridge year, ride things out til trade deadline, then move Ullmark to the highest bidder, almost anyone else not named McAvoy or Pasta if the price is right.

Would be nice, but something tells me it will go something like this:

If the season goes better than normal, partial buyers at deadline and maybe even Sweeney swings for a top 6 center if he finds the right deal and immediately extends them (like he did with Hampus Lindholm)

If the season goes poorly, sell off who you can for some assets, ride the rest of the year out.

Either way, I see them likely spending during free agency next summer to bring in assets, likely overpaying if one of those is a center. As much as it would be nice to have a true rebuild, the management group has already said they will not be doing that.

Don't see any Bruins fans doing that, and are you actually surprised fans of other teams might throw up those suggestions?

I must've glanced at the posters and not noticed who was who, but there were at least 2 of our own who seemed open to this idea. That is 2 too many.

Guess there was one (Glove) that was ok with Lindholm for Zegras.

Zegras' last two seasons were better than any current Bruins C, but I don't know much about him so can't really comment on the balance of that proposal.

He is insanely skilled but also a bit of a cry baby. Could stem from a lot of losing i suppose but right now I think he's a bit too immature.

Skill is off the charts though. I would take him in a heartbeat but I'm certainly not trading Mcavoy.

Boston has been said to be asking about JT Miller. I did not see that one coming. But when you think about it, it could really help both clubs out if done right.
Thinking Carlo and Lysell or Lohrei going the other way. Or Debrusk and Lohrei ???? I think this might infuriate a few of you.

With a Cap-hit of 8M?

I don't see how Bruins could squeeze that in.
