Oh god yeah but it was a step along the way. I sure as hell don't miss the grind of being on a help desk. I used to drink a lot more Still in IT but as a PM with knowledge on a few major cloud platforms. More of a hired gun these days. Much much happier and way less stressed out.

Really did! To me Office Space is still the most accurate depiction of being a corporate drone. It is really that tedious, you really are that expendable. The buzzwordy corporate bleating, chest thumping and soul crushing has not changed at all since 1998 when it was made. Thats my life unfortunately. Really the only positive thing is having a manager that understands my work and values what I do day in and day out. Makes it a little less painful.

Plus I dont have to deal with the corporate middle management crap. I work my 8 or 9 depending on the day then gtfo. Its like I set a timer and walk my robot ass out when it dings.

I would actually consider Z for McAvoy straight up... but I'm not sure Bruins would be down with that.

Saves you guys a bit of cap space depending on what Z's new contract is. Helps both teams major deficiencies ... We need D and you need top end skill...
