Would have liked to see Krebs put at C there instead of Jost. Like to see if Krebs could bring a bit more than 4C. Sabres have some prospects coming up that could fill that roll.

Based on Krebs preseason. He can stay where he is at. I also want to see him with skilled players but he didn’t seem to do anything that said he deserved it.

I think Morgan Geekie will do very well there fwiw. If the 2C Coyle experiment fails, I could see them moving him back to center and let him give it a go. Also kind of surprised Oskar Steen didn't make the team for added C depth.

Yeah, I kind of view them as the Islanders 2.0 now. More of a west coast style that relies on defense first. I'm just not sure, outside Pasta and Marchand, where the goals are coming from.

They're definitely hoping for that Czech connection. That 3rd line has really took a hit compared to last year and they didn't get anyone worthy of replacing 2 top 5 scorers. Could easily see them being a WC team.

This is the same for nearly every team. Look at Tampa. Vasi out 8 weeks. Back surgery, could be out longer. Might not be the same when hes back.

Johansson had a good preseason but he hasnt played more than 11 games in a season. Their backup is a AHL regular. edit... hes played in the SHL the last 2 years.

TB can sit stars all season with no issues.

Losing your starting G is much different than a skater. Ideally, losing a 3C doesn't guy your middle six.
