The success others have elsewhere seems to reinforce that 95% of posters evaluating talent don't know shiite.

He's played 5 NHL games the last 2 years. What success are we even talking about here?

Sometimes you need depth goalies.

I haven’t written off Greenway being that guy.

Foligno going to Minnesota was what the doctor ordered for him, perhaps Donnie can be what Greenway needs to be an effective bottom 6 guy

similar numbers for greenway with the wild compared to marcus as a sabre

shooting percentage a tad lower and few hits, takeaways and blocks

but similar

Was really liking the Greenway-Mitts-Benson line.
Forchecker in greenway. Playmaker in Mitts. And the dog in Benson.

Meh.

I don’t mind the player, but another two years at $4.9M probably isn’t ideal.

I know of a team that did that

that team still has yet to win a playoff series since that season

- homiedclown

Really. I wonder if that team also lost its two leaders up front the summer before missing.

Foligno having his shoulder surgerically repaired made ALL the difference.
He played with a bum shoulder for parts of 2 seasons, had the Sabres fans revolt against him while he tried to play through it, then had it fixed and violla he then played better. Funny how that works for physical, power forwards when they can p,ayers physical again.

Greenway also had shoulder surgery.

Can he retrieve pucks on the forecheck to extend zone time off the rush and play well defensively? He’s shown he can do it in the past.

Whether or not he throws 0 hits or 4 hits a game doesn’t matter to me

I agree.

At 6'6", 231 lbs he's obviously slight of frame and might get trucked resulting in a significant injury.
Good thing it looks like he'll have Benson on his line to keep things in check so to speak. For added protection, I do hope they trot out Bryson with his line.

C'mon man. I'm not saying he needs to absolutely run every player through the dasher boards on each shift, but they can't count on him to bring some physicality to separate opponents from the puck then really, wtf good is he?

He can borrow Girgensons purse if he doesn't show a bit of grit.

Bryson needs to be in Jacksonville or next to Neil Armstrong’s flag.

Korchinski (CHI) also making his debut tonight. Was used with Ottawa’s pick that they traded for Debrincant.

Could be Chychrun 2.0.

Such a shame that Ottawa dealt that pick then felt the need to deal a first and two seconds for Chychrun who they’ll need to either commit big money to or trade in two years.

Gotta love Pierre Dorion, too bad Andlauer will have the goof out within the next 12 months.
