Has Korchinski proven to be a top 4 NHL D man yet?

Last I checked he's played 1 game.

Not every prospect works out.

The obsession with ELC’s and cap space is becoming bizarre around here.

Sabres are at what 8 mil in space still? Not taking advantage of that Thompson/Cozens savings yet I see

This is 100% true and actually kind of a shame. At the same point, it doesn't really have anything to do with Korchinski or Chychrun. And it still looks like we dodged a bullet there.

The only decent food at the arena is the 100 level …. Go on the left hand escalator near section 106. The little market place has some decent special sandwich’s. Little expensive but worth it.

I don't see it this way at all.

The Sabres are absolutely loaded with forwards.

Benson looks to be a fantastic player, but the rumor is Armstrong wasn't asking us for a first, he was asking us for Savoie/Kulich.

If Dahlin or Power go down our defense is screwed. They needed/need a 3rd guy who can effectively jump into the 22-23 min range if one goes down.

I don't see it this way at all.

It’s not the Chychrun hill I’m dying on.

Benson has played 0 NHL regular season games and were crowning him as a future top line stud. Which is fine, looks like that’s a possibility, but this discussion has so many constant moving goalposts

Doesn’t drafting Benson and seeing how well he’s developing out of the gate make Savoie/Kulich etc a little easier to stomach losing for a top 4 D?

Puts them in a great position of flexibility this year leading up to the tdl. IMO Kevyyyn has us in a pretty good place...if the team as-is plays well (or even if not), he can swing for 1 or 2 pieces that are bigger than Jordan Greenway at the tdl and use up some of that prospect capital you so obviously want to get rid of.

If we stink, he can blow his wad on Pat Kane and submarine our entire existence in one move.

The rumor was Savoie and Kulich, or one and a 1st. So Benson + Savoie or Kulich. Whether we are screwed if Power/Dahlin go down, you don't pay that type of return for a Chychrun. Lance suggested that AZ likely wanted both as a return. Given that Ott paid a 1st and 2 2nds, and was lower in the standings, this did make sense to me. I guess it comes down to what you believe.

it's less about *that* guy and more about *a* guy.

Puts them in a great position of flexibility this year leading up to the tdl.
