Dead weight on this roster.

Okposo 2.5
Girgensons 2.5
VO 4.75

Add EJ barely playing 10 min a night at 3.25 million

Kevyn Adams wasting 13 million. Tell me again how the Sabres couldn’t afford to go get a good player.

Adams chose to weigh down this roster with bad contracts.

Also goals scored this year.

Buffalo Sabres - 3
Chiqorin- 2

Not properly supporting young players has been a top Sabres issue since the Eichel draft.

We heard countless times last offseason that they were focused on finding Power a quality D partner.

We heard similar with finding Levi a quality co-starter.

What do we see for the above?

Jokiharju, Comrie and UPL.

Same old story that Sabres fans are accustomed to.

Bang on!
But the majority on this page refused to accept trading some of your top prospects to acquire a top 4 D man and legitimate #1 goalie was the only way to achieve this.
Clifton and Johnson are bandaids and Levi is a 21 year old rookie!

Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday this week. Who do you start in G?

Comrie is about to hit 3 weeks without playing a game. UPL 2 weeks. 0-2 and managing 3G is a nightmare.

Probably fair to say the Sabres need a little bit more from the highest-paid player in franchise history as well

assuming this team was going to improve just because they were a year older seems like a poor assumption by management

Dahlin, Power, Tage and Skinner invisible to start the year. Lot of celery to lose the puck and shoot right at the other teams defenders two games in a row.

Mitts, Greenway and Benson only players who showed up

Agree homie, internal growth is one thing and it is good. But you also need good Hockey Players that have done it and been through a few Wars. Girgensons and Okposo might be very good Locker Room Leaders, but they have never been through the battles. I think Adams misjudges Wanting To Be Here with what actual leadership is.

They are leaders who don't make any waves, win or lose.

This is what happens when a rookie GM is hired with minimal hockey ops experience.

This is also why an experienced President of Hockey Operations would be a good thing for this organization...someone who has weathered the GM ups and downs who could advise Kevyn.
Imagine a guy posing the question of:
Let me understand what I'm hearing Kevyn, in a year when this franchise really needs to make the Playoffs for Financial and Fanbase reasons among others, your plan consits of:
• relying on critical players, many of whom had career years, to improve their performance again. Have you thought about what happens if some regress back normal level of play?
• running back largely the same players and relying on internal growth?
• relying heavily on a rookie goalie..who looks great BTW, but likely will have growing pains? Have you thought about acquiring a solid Plan B, and are you characterizing UPL and Comrie as a Solid Plan B!
• are you sure you want to rely on two 3rd pairing Dmen as your solution to improving the D play in front of your rookie goalie..and a weak Plan C as I see it?
• running with the same System that resulted in a Bottom 5 GA performance from last year. Do you think that system will honestly have success in the Playoffs?
Seems like a very high risk Plan Kevyn..let me know what your top 3 critical fixes are as you see it.

Samuelsson/Power
Clifton/Joker limit their minutes

I think EJ is in the post-minnesota Pominville phase where you hope he can give you some solid third pairing/third line minutes but the wheels come off when you force him to play a lot

I've been corrected: He's not going back.

>>> Here’s a stat: the Sabres have a 29.98 xGF% at 5v5 when Zach Benson hasn’t been on the ice this season

They have a 67.7 xGF% at 5v5 when Zach Benson is on the ice
