What was PP2 last night? It was all of the young bucks. Krebs, Peterka and Benson.
Not sure who else. They looked good when Granato started them off first on the one PP. Krebs and Benson were active on it. I just can't believe Benson. You notice him every game.

No it's been 138 games where he has 16 career goals and not even 50 points yet.

And before we blame this all on Girgensons and Okposo, they both have proven more offensively at 22 years old than Krebs has.

Of those 138 games, how many were on the log line? You can subtract those from the total as those are most undoubtedly wasted minutes.

Benson's just always seems to be doing the right things. Looks so mature out there. Guys not afraid to go into the corners with some big dudes either.

Barring a disasterous next 5 games he should get the full 82.

Sabres have there only back to backs next Monday and Tuesday. Wonder if they do a paper move and give Savoie a chance either game.

Krebs loses exemption in 22 games. Can't send Benson. I'd be surprised if they sent Peterka. My guess, they do Krebs or waive Olofsson. But most likely Krebs.

I know there some hate for donnie and not setting up a “ defensive system “ or talking to the players enough but the way Power played last night he had to get some coaching between Islanders game and last nights.

I seen at least 2 hits and multiple taking the body in the corner plays. Something i cant remember seeing Power do.

Hopefully the Meatballs can learn from this and players as well.

I wouldn't be so confident. Those injuries are a female dog to deal with...the healing may be completed quick enough, but the recovery back to normal seem to take a year or so.

After last night I think the whole team has been told to finish checks and take more body. Seemed that way to me at least.

No, I hear ya. And can be easy to reaggravate. I have a podiatrist buddy who was surprised Jack wasn't still in a boot at the Bills game on 9/11. He said that usually is the 8-10 week mark. We're 5 weeks removed from that game, so I think he should start skating within the month.

Either way, when he returns it will be big, I really think the Cozens line needs him defensively.

I maintain he's a Center, but this should be a suitable evaluation to get it right.

If he proves to be a C only, then make the decision to trade him...they have an abundance of C's already and many more coming.

he is a center, his track record shows he's a center, the org stated clearly he's a center, but the problem is the mitts line is good and krebs isn't playing top 6 center.

figure out if the guy is long term replacement level and make your decision on how he fits here, because there's going to be at least 3-4 guys next season trying to take his spot away (on the wing). I don't think anyone's trading CM for PK, especially with all of the budding wing talent we have in the org.

Maybe he made some nice passes last year. Good for him. He isn't the 2nd line winger when Quinn gets healthy or when they sign kane so he's our 4th line center. Something jost does equally or better and probably cheaper in the long run

When I read on his injury when it initially happened, I'm pretty sure I read it was only a minor tear. I know very little of the achillies injuries so I only take that as "could of been worse".

Moving him off that line after 1 game would be a mistake at this point. Unless your mixing up the line combos there's no better solution at the moment. Might as well leave him to see if he can elevate his game. The other lines are playing great so no reason to mx it up.

Hes a talented player that's been subject to playing with 2 guys 75% of people wanted gone in the offseason.... Yes he cant shoot, hes a playmaker thats been turned into a 4L pester.
