When I read on his injury when it initially happened, I'm pretty sure I read it was only a minor tear. I know very little of the achillies injuries so I only take that as "could of been worse".
- DirtyDan

Yeah, I think I remember something similar. So it makes sense he's trending up a bit quicker than first though. I certainly don't think, or at least hope, we'll be waiting until Christmas/New Years to see him as previously reported.

do you like krebs
- TheSabresTaco

Take him or leave him is where I'm at

I like his hustle and that he sticks up for his guys. I dont like how he quickly found himself to the 4th line and hasn't been able to find his way off of it.

I dont care that he's 22, the team is ready to win now and if thats the role he is settling into then so be it. Saying he doesn't have much offensive upside isn't some mind blowing assessment

Anyone know the 2 d-men with the highest expected goal share at five-on-five last night...?

Some may not like what they hear

- DirtyDan

If it's Johnson/Clifton, you're right, don't tell me.

Clifton was second with 68%.

I thought those 2 were really solid last night. Johnson has been a sigh of relief. IMO.

Not a waste of a spot so far.

Krebs loses exemption in 22 games. Can't send Benson. I'd be surprised if they sent Peterka. My guess, they do Krebs or waive Olofsson. But most likely Krebs.
- TheSabresTaco

Why not Levi, it's just a paper move. They could probably do it after the Islanders game and could give Savoie both games. Have UPL and Comrie start those back to backs. Against Montreal and Ottawa and give Levi a couple game rest. Keep him fresh

Clifton played 15 minutes, unfortunately his one chance against ended up in the net. Hopefully he keeps getting better. I was surprised Johnson played 17 minutes, really helped when Samuelsson went down.

I was going to guess Joker. He has been getting some great looks. Would be nice if he started cashing in on some of them.

Moving him off that line after 1 game would be a mistake at this point. Unless your mixing up the line combos there's no better solution at the moment. Might as well leave him to see if he can elevate his game. The other lines are playing great so no reason to mx it up.

Hes a talented player that's been subject to playing with 2 guys 75% of people wanted gone in the offseason.... Yes he cant shoot, hes a playmaker thats been turned into a 4L pester.

Thems the facts jack.

- DirtyDan

Im not saying he should come off that line. Right now by default he is probably the best option there. Or maybe as someone else said move him to 3c but right now we shouldn't break up the 3rd line.

The GM resigned the two guys hes been 'subject' to, to do what? Play with Krebs

Maybe the GM should have made some decisions that helped the roster move forward

At least we started seeing some of the big hit potential from Clifton that we heard about when he was signed. He dropped Paul like a ton of bricks.

Alright this is progress, you managed to avoid insulting someone.

I gurantee you were saying the same poop about Tage Thompson before he broke out as well.

Have some patience man, krebs will find his game.

You can't just trade everyone you don't like because they aren't living up to your standards atm.

He just falls down too much, reminds me of Girgs. Impact wise he's been fine, no one has been able to take advantage when he's on his keester.

That one chance Krebs let his man get away from him in the slot.

Clifton played the side of the net like he should.

Why the frank was JJ behind the D-man there as well

He lit up a couple guys in the Rangers game. One right infront of our bench.

I missed the Islanders game.

If he works out, think it's another W for the staff, seeing how his skill set can be utilized to its greatest potential despite being in obvious decline.

if we traded colin miller for krebs instead of eichel

I think most fans would be done with krebs at this point

the fans expect top 6 production while the results show bottom 6

Of those 138 games, how many were on the log line? You can subtract those from the total as those are most undoubtedly wasted minutes.

I don't get the infatuation with putting Olo there instead. Krebs is an upgrade until Jack comes back.

Why?

This idea he's setting them up for all these slam dunks and theyre just missing isnt reality

He is also only 22 years old.

Some of you guys on here are so critical as if you're some hockey god.

Let the kid play stop being a female dog.

Give him a longer look. 1 game isn't enough.

At the worst he just makes the line better defensively.

Hopefully that OT winner gets Cozens going and that line picks it up a bit more.

you're about to find out

might go without saying but they'll probably play the waive game with Krebs and Levi to see how Savoie looks. If he can stick, Olofsson will need to hit waivers.
