Alright this is progress, you managed to avoid insulting someone.

I gurantee you were saying the same poop about Tage Thompson before he broke out as well.

Have some patience man, krebs will find his game.

You can't just trade everyone you don't like because they aren't living up to your standards atm.

- Carubba-Kaleta

I didnt say to trade him, not one time ever have I said that. I have an opinion I've developed
by watching a player since his arrival

I've only returned fire on the insults, maybe you should read better

Im not hating on them just pointing out factually incorrect statement

I own a girgensons jersey and I cheered when he scored last night. It was a great shot

Something Krebs doesn't possess

- ieetbred

Girgensons goal was awesome and super important to take the 1 goal lead

is kulich, rosen, rousek, savoie or benson a better option though?
- homiedclown

Well Benson I'd keep where he is. That line has been doing a fine job.

Not sure if the others would be better right now or not. Kulich didnt look very good when I watched him during preseason. Savoie could take 1 hit and be done for the year.

Krebs is the best option at the moment. Let him play it out.

Give him a longer look. 1 game isn't enough.

At the worst he just makes the line better defensively.

Hopefully that OT winner gets Cozens going and that line picks it up a bit more.

Nobody wants to hear this but, it’s still a development season for guys like Krebs and mitts

See if they fit long term

That and Joker miss playing it behind the net, unfortunately it bounced right over Clifton's stick.
- Buff36

Joker kinda effed up there. Tough spot, little room. Does he whip it around to the Tampa d-man/take the ice? That's really his only other option than trying to trap the puck since JJ is way to low for my liking.

Mitts is well along that path. Guys looked really good. Could make his extension a problem.

He does it all.

I remember a lot of people were done with him too not to long ago. 190 games into his career he didn't look like much of a offensive threat and definitely looked like a liability. Look at him now.

Sabres really held kucherov in check

Barely noticed the guy

Stammer not playing, helped isolate defending kucherov imo

not casey

they know what they have with him and his 280 games

the question with him is where to plug him

third line center, flip tage to the wing and bump him up

or flip casey to the wing

assuming they want him long term, which honestly who knows

I really appreciate the fight as well

Girgs did what a vet should do, stick up for a teammate

Ate some knuckles though ……

Kuch had his chances. Levi snuffed em out. Almost snuck it over Levi's shoulder near the end of the game.

My 1 knock on Levi is that height. He leaves the top corners open when hes down. Tough shots to make but possible for the best players.

We’re on the same page homie, they need to slot mitts and evaluate a long term spot and a long term contract to match

So do you think it’s nobody wants VO or Adams is asking too much for a VO?
Not a shot just a legit question.

I’ve seen worse players traded for mid to late picks.

let's put it like this.

if you see how he plays, what do you think the pro scouts see? His celery is close to 5M and there are 4 teams who can afford him without sending celery back.

If we had a couple injuries at wing, things would get sparse quickly. Not that we don't have some kids to call up, but he may simply be waiting until Quinn comes back to shop him for a lower price. Right now, he's probably asking more than teams are comfortable with. Unlike others, I think there are several teams that would take a PP specialist right now.

I think Casey does his best work at C.

I know Tage took a couple games last year to get going, and that line has had their chances, they'll start to pot em but Im not sure if hes best fit at 1C or if he can do more damage on the wing possibly?

I love that the top 3 centers we have right now can all be threats and take over at points. So I dont think moving 1 to the wing will be beneficial at the moment. Maybe if Savoie shows he can operate a line you move Tage to the wing and Mitts and Cozens play 1C and 2C? While Savoie joins Benson and Greenway maybe?

Have to imagine any Olo trade comes with 50% retention. In a month or two he's probably down to 2M flat. Expands options greatly anyways.

I think the cap hit is the problem.

Not a lot of teams that can take that on without moving something out.

Buffalo probably doesn't want any of that cap hit if they're to trade him.

Yeah, there is that. Adds an additional 4 teams. Who may or may not want to accrue that cap space for the TDL instead of paying Void to be their 13th forward.

If so, he's probably staying. As Taco said only a few teams can even take that much on. We can always take something back and it's only a 1 year deal, but methinks the return being anything outside future considerations, is predicated upon us swallowing half. With $8M in cap space it isn't like it would affect anything this year.
