You know what's more rare than keeping your 1st rounder in year 1? 9 game tryouts.
- Lunaion

That’s cool , I didn’t know that

Imagine having a half dozen other forward prospects ready for a legit nhl look

Just an opinion, but Savoie , kulich and a few other are more in the plans then the 18 year old

Benson has played well, it’s Sabres hockey ;

Sign vets
Slow roll draft picks
Cheap contracts

If you are saying the key reason the Sabres would send Benson back to Juniors to slide his ELC is because it's always about money, and cheap contracts, are you saying they are cheap?

If so, why support them with your money by buying season tickets?

Yes, the Sabres are a money conscience franchise

And rightfully so, we’re a small market in comparison to other nhl teams

Having season tickets is about enjoying the games and a night out with family and friends. I love going to the games, although they continue to disappoint

Sending benson back to juniors will not meaningfully effect my enjoyment

What was the point of 9 games? Made them waive an extra vet.

I can't imagine you'll go so far as to say they are better off playing VO today than the 100 other options they've had this offseason and internally.

Cause he makes money of selling his tickets. My Buddy had 3 tickets for years. Sell the right games and it pays for your season tickets the next year. It used to be very profitable.

Do you think they'll be able to ice a winning team by continuing to be cheap?

Sending Benson back would effect my enjoyment.

Would sending Levi down impact yours? I know you'll say otherwise, but it's a very similar situation.

Small Market team with a very Wealthy Owner whose other franchise is getting a check for about 260mill every 4 years for the next decade with the new TV Deals the NFL signed. That doesn't even take into affect what they get with Revenue sharing.

He spent money for years while not knowing what the hell he was doing, and got burned multiple times.

Now he's pulled the oars in, as the saying goes, and is only spending as much, or as little, as he needs to.

I don't think they can win long term by being cheap or by having an isolationist mentality to building the team.

Benson earned the 9 games , you watched preseason

Someone was getting waived when Quinn comes back regardless. Just seems like the easy way out, sending benson back packing

I still like olo, but he’s the weak link and should be able he 13th forward at this point

Benson hasn’t exactly looked like bedard, fantili or Cooley . Kind of cost them a point last game with the turnover and falling down. That’s part of why he’s sitting for sure.

Yeah, sending Levi down would be very disappointing

I spend my $ in part to see him start in net

It’s been a story, he played last year
Benson kinda flashed on the scene

Why try and assume I’ll “say otherwise”
I’m upfront with you most of the time

He would make more money if the Sabres made the playoffs. They have some nice pieces, they have a lot coming. But they have a lot of the same type of pieces in there Organization. They have a plethora of assets, they have enough to help them fill needs right now and to help with the future areas of need. Go and get a Goalie or a Top 3 RD. And if you want to keep your Run and Gun going then do it. Sorry but Girgensons and Okposo bring nothing to that with there 8 to 10min a night. If you want to play fast, then play fast.

You think Benson cost them a point when the majority of the team played like dogpoop last game?

That's some take.

Well, you aren't saying Levi would benefit from some additional development time.

Benson has been better than Levi so far this season. Some AHL time for Levi would be far more beneficial than some more WHL time for Benson, imo.

Benson is one of my favorite players to watch.

Benson gave up the puck and allowed a 4 on 2 which went directly in the net for the game winner

Guess why he’s sitting …. Probably has something to do with it right?

Ok

I like benson too
I like Levi more
Both could use more seasoning
Both are rookies and mistakes should be expected

Not Sorry about my benson take, it’s just an opinion

Benson is 18
Levi is 21

Because benson gave up a difficult 4 on 2 opportunity and Levi didn’t make the save

Also, he played 4 straight in net

Levi has been better then his numbers
He stuffed to clear breakaways yesterday at key times in the game

Never need an apology for an opinion. This place is no fun without them.

I like Benson more than Levi, Rosen, Savoie, Kulich, and Ostlund. He won me over in a hurry.

I heard healthy scratch for benson

Maybe benson got hurt when he was hit and turned over the puck?

Ganato flat out said it wasn't a healthy scratch.

I have no question the original plan was Levi today + Comrie/UPL Monday in the 1st of a back to back.
