Is it true that PK88 ordered 10 pair of Bauer gloves in blue/gold and Goathead colors? Asking for my neighbor in SB!

I know Kane is unpopular and I don't support him joining this team, but if it means exorcising Void, I'm open to anything.

Quinn will come back and either boot Benson or Olofsson. Kane will come in and boot the remainder.

what kinda kills this is that teams rarely if ever make these kinds of trades. ELC players who can contribute aren't worth even trading. 99% of the time, teams always have room to incorporate these guys.

Sabres could be quite the case study. I think they'd try to get a veteran player instead of a pick, at least with one or two of them.

I mean a lot of these guys have 2-4 year projections in the minors so there's no reason to do anything with them. Question really comes down to Kulich, Rosen and Savoie. When are they ready and should they replace anyone here.

I mean next year your wingers are Skinner, Peterka, Greenway on the left, Tuch, Quinn, Benson on the right. It really is a good question on what to do with these guys. It's a question that won't go away any time soon, especially with the positive development of the aforementioned three.

- TheSabresTaco

Yeah, I don't know of any AHL players being dealt for future high 1st round picks but I also have never looked into it.

Does next years assumed roster change if this seasons roster doesn't make the playoffs? If the same holes in the roster (they are already showing) remain and they lose, does the plan continue to march on uninterrupted?

>>> Amerks leading scorers through 5 games:

Kulich - 5G, 3A in 5GP
Rosén - 3G, 5A in 5GP
Kisakov - 3G, 2A in 5GP

Extremely early, but it’s nice to see Kisakov producing early #Sabres

Super stoked about Kisakov. Their development plan for these kids has been awesome. Appert has done an awesome job.

terrified, really

what splash trades are you looking for exactly? What franchise player were you hoping to send out?

why are some of you demanding we make room for all of these prospects like right now? The only guy who actually pushed the roster was the youngest (frank)ing kid in camp. The rest of them clearly needed to go back.

I don't need them to make a splash trade to fit Brandon (frank)ing Biro either.

He made room for Quinn, Peterka and Levi. If Benson earns it, I guarantee he'll make room for him too. And if those Rochester guys decide to push like Benson did, he'll either make room or trade them too.

Like yeah I guess it's interesting to project 1-3 year out, but to sit here oh well they shoulda traded (good player) for another guy because he needs to mix it up! Come on.

- TheSabresTaco

Don't turn into one of these bruh.

There were upgrades to be had

Yes, he probably is. His utility on this team is virtually unmatched. His cap could be north of 6, sure. Again, he can play 9 forward positions.

At this point I'd argue trading Peterka is more prudent than trading Mittelstadt.

I see what you're saying, I understand what you're getting at, but you either keep a guy who actually does his job well, or you send him out for a top 3 caliber defenseman in the offseason or TDL and expect one of Benson, Kulich, Rosen or Savoie to be ready to positively contribute.

If you want to win, you better be damn sure it's a net positive. And they want to win.

- TheSabresTaco

Moving on from Mittelstadt would be a giant mistake.

This team transformed when he turned it on lastyear

Tell him he needs to order a couple pairs of pure white ones as well.

Those will look very odd on the Rangers though.

Think he's the most interesting piece of this. He will affect a few decisions down the road. If he stays then some players will need to be moved and probably some good ones for other areas of need.

I think you first look at why you failed, and adjust through weaknesses. Olofsson is already outta here. If Kyle and Krebs project this way through 82 games, they need to do something. If Jokiharju is average Jokiharju, they need to do something.

They have the ammo and ability to upgrade those areas. A lot of that doesn't even require those big boys in a swap out.

This year I would hope they start using some picks to upgrade maybe Krebs and Kyle. Another org may be willing to see what they can get out of Krebs and we can buy a short term defensive center on a higher cap.

The only reason he's being bandied about is because his future is uncertain.

But like Broads says, it appears since the start of this year that it would be a massive mistake.

If he wants $7M per on a 5 year or longer deal, are you signing him to that deal?

If his 82 game projection matches his past 50 games, yes.

Look, I was a Mitts hater. Big time. And he deserved it. But Tyson (frank)ing Jost gave him the best reach around of his life and the kid is now earning his draft status.

Time for Kulich to get a look I believe. Send Benson back to Jr’s and call up Kulich.

I brought that up to my buddies last night. Every night on Twitter he seems to be scoring goals.

Did KA have method to his madness. Play the 3 goalies in a serious playoff against each other. Looks like UPL came first with a the other 2 tied. Makes it easy now to send Levi to the minors when he's ready to go and leave home there till end of January for sure.
Now if I could choose between Kyle and Olaf to help KA out I would take something over nothing. For that reason Kyle you are out.

He's picking up where he left off last year.

Why was he invisible in training camp?

They will not send Levi to Rochester and Kyle will never be traded. Mark it down.

giving tuch a 4 or 5 year extension at 30, according to history, is a bad move in a cap era
