That's where it gets tricky. He was a scratch a few times, which count. It was also a COVID year, and the game threshold was lowered (never been able to find out exactly how, with team's playing a different number of games).

I lean towards it counting now, just not 100%.

COVID did not prevent him from reaching 40 games. Had he been on the active roster, I think you'd have a point. He was not. He was off of it after December 10th.

Didn't see this, guess it got easier. Overplay him a litte and he breaks.

Devon Levi is still dealing with soreness, so the Sabres see no need to push him. They've liked what they've seen from Comrie and Luukkonen. They'll give Levi more time to let the issue resolve.

Ah gotcha, okay. I figured they would've just held onto Stillman if UPL or Comrie got waived, but there were other options. I get it now, sorry.

Benson has 4 games left, they still have to get to Christmas. Void is (frank)ing junk and they need to stop pretending to like him. It would be nice to know what they're thinking about Benson because without knowing where he's going after game 9, there's too many scenarios.

Let's say the interest in Kane is real.

89 says it's real, every actual insider says it's real, it's probably real.

They know Quinn is coming back, which means they know they need to make room for Kane.

I believe they'd be more interested in keeping three goalies than one Olofsson.

Gets more interesting if Benson stays.

Now I'm wondering if they're negotiating with Kane to delay the decision on Benson.
